Youths from the North converged on Kaduna on Sunday insisting that the nation’s presidency must remain in the region in 2011.

The Northern youths also advised Acting President Goodluck Jonathan to forget about contesting the Presidency next year as they commended the ruling Peoples Democratic Party for zoning it to the North in 2011.

The Northern youths declared these under the aegis of the Northern Youth Grand Alliance.

The National President, NYGA, Alhaji Bello Abdulhamid, warned that all those from outside the North-West showing interest in contesting the presidency next year should shelve the idea for now because the party had resevered the office for zone in particular.

Abdulhamid said this was to compensate the North-West for the inability of ailing President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua to complete his tenure.

The NGYA boss, therefore, warned the Acting President not to contemplate contesting the 2011 presidential poll.
