Chief Olufolake Solanke who became the first female lawyer to be conferred with Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 1981, turned 85 years on Wednesday and was celebrated by the governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, among many others. Chief Solanke, born on 29th of March 1932, has numerous achievements, including the National honour of the Commander of the Order of Niger. In 1972, she was appointed the first Commissioner of Western State and chairperson of the Western Nigeria Television Broadcasting Corporation (WNTBC). In 1994, she also went ahead to become the 42nd president and first non – Caucasian to be elected at Zonta International.
I have been reporting for several years now and I am very interested in visual news reportage with strong inclusion of photos and video multimedia.
