Five suspected oil thieves are currently undergoing investigation at the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for dealing in petroleum products suspected to be Automated Gas Oil (AGO).
The suspects, Jeffery Adaboke, Ayebaene Kalango, Prince Legbosi, Tega Adade, Ifeanyi Silvanus were arrested by officers of NNS PATHFINDER Naval Base Port Harcourt, Rivers State on 1st of April, 2017 around Isaka axis on board Tug Boat PK111 and a metal barge laden with products suspected to be AGO.
The suspects were handed over to the Commission for further investigation by E. R. Ekuma, Commander, Nigeria Navy.
An Operative of the Commission, Gidado Musa, who represented the zonal Head EFCC South/South, received the suspects, Tug boat and the metal barge on behalf of the Commission.
The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed
