Although this news seems very strange and quite unbelievable, but from the news filtering around, the great monarch of Ife kingdom Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ooni of Ife was a victim of an unarmed robbery incidence yesterday in Abeokuta.
According to the report, the Ooni and some other dignitaries including four governors in attendance at the superlative wedding ceremony of the Amosun/Dabiri union got robbed during the ceremony.
The robber or thief who must have had access to the dignitaries despite the heavy security and strict admittance into the venue made away with the phones of the King and several others.
It is still unclear how the thief got direct access to the Ooni of Ife and other victims considering the heavy bodyguards around them, but according to sources at the wedding, the thief or group of thieves are suspected to be people who would not have been suspected ordinary.
As at the time of filing this report no statement has come from either the office of the king or the governors.
This is indeed very strange!
