Police Rescue Man Chained By His Grandmother For Over 1 Year In Lagos (Photos)

Police in Lagos has rescued a man, Bolaji Sholola chained by his grandmother for more than one year. He was kept in chains 18 Damigoro street, in the Mushin area of Lagos.

It was gathered that Bolaji’s 85-year-old grandmother, who chained him, claimed that the young man is mentally ill, adding that he was kept in the said condition with the consent of some family members.


The Police area commander, Area D, has reportedly taken the victim to the Psychiatric Hospital located in Yaba.

This woman should be prosecute for illegal detention and enslavement. We are in democracy so the law must apply for everybody irrespective of age.
