Former England captain Wayne Rooney has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

According to English newspaper the Mirror, the Everton striker was stopped by police near his home in Chesire, England after a night out on Thursday.

It is not known whether the reported arrest will affect his immediate playing future with Everton, as the Premier League is currently on an international break.
