Arsenal VS West Bromwich Albion
Monday (23/09/2017)
20:00 (WAT)
WEST BROM travel to the Emirates for Monday Night Football looking to end Arsenal’s perfect home record.

The Gunners beat Leicester in a 4-3 thriller on the opening day and have since dispatched Bournemouth on home soil.

But their away form has been dreadful – where they are yet to win – and sees them start this game behind the Baggies in 12th place.

Tony Pulis’ side have only one win in their last five, but have built from the back and are brilliantly organised – with only four goals conceded so far.

Team news
ARSENAL could welcome back Mesut Ozil but it will be a game-time decision on whether to risk the German international.

Calum Chambers and Theo Walcott limped off against Doncaster, with Chambers joining Danny Welbeck and Santi Cazorla in the treatment room.

Pulis made six changes against Manchester City and came through unscathed, with summer signing Oliver Burke the only confirmed absentee.

Nacer Chadli could return from an abdominal strain as the Baggies try to win at the Emirates for the first time since 2010.

Stat attack
  • Arsenal have won each of their last six Premier League games at the Emirates Stadium versus West Bromwich Albion, conceding just one goal in these games.
  • West Brom won the last league clash between these two clubs; 3-1 at the Hawthorns in March. They haven’t won successive league matches against the Gunners since March 1977.
  • The Baggies have suffered nine defeats away to Arsenal in the Premier League, a joint-high for them in the competition alongside away defeats to Chelsea.
  • West Bromwich Albion have won just five of their last 35 Premier League away matches (W5 D14 L16).
  • This will be the 10th time that Tony Pulis has managed a team at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League – he’s lost every one of the previous nine there with a combined score of 20-3.
  • The Gunners have now won seven successive Premier League games at the Emirates Stadium; their second best winning run at the stadium in the competition after a nine-match winning streak between December 2014 and April 2015.
  • Alexandre Lacazette has scored in both of his Premier League appearances at the Emirates Stadium so far – no Arsenal player has scored in their opening three apps at home in the competition.
  • The last Arsenal player to score in their first three home league appearances for the club was Brian Marwood in September 1988.
  • Gareth Barry could become the outright leader in terms of most Premier League appearances should he play in this match. He’s currently level with Ryan Giggs on 632 appearances in the competition.
  • When Gareth Barry made his first appearance in the Premier League on May 2nd 1998, Arsene Wenger was only one year and 212 days in to his tenure as Arsenal manager.
