Manchester United VS AFC Bournemouth
Wednesday (13/12/2017)
21:00 (WAT)
Manchester United need to recover from a derby-day hangover if they are to keep their slim Premier League title hopes alive against Bournemouth on Wednesday.

United fell to a damaging 2-1 home defeat against Manchester City on Sunday to see Pep Guardiola's League leaders extend their advantage over their neighbours to 11 points.

City have effectively been crowned champions-elect even before Christmas, but United must return to winning ways at Old Trafford in the midweek clash against against Eddie Howe's Cherries.

Team news
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is serving their second game of his three-match domestic ban, while captain Michael Carrick and defender Eric Bailly remain on the sidelines.

Bournemouth have Adam Smith back in contention after the defender served a one-match suspension against Crystal Palace.

Provisional Squad: Begovic, A Smith, S Cook, Francis, Ake, Daniels, Arter, Pugh, Surman, Ibe, King, Wilson, Boruc, Gosling, Afobe, Fraser, L Cook, Defoe, Stanislas

How they could line up
Man United starting XI: De Gea, Lindelof, Smalling, Rojo; Valencia, Matic, Herrera, Young; Mata, Martial, Ibrahimovic

Bournemouth starting XI: Begovic, Smith, Cook, Ake, Daniels, Stanislas, Cook, Surman, Fraser, King, Defoe
