The organisation representing African countries has demanded that US President Donald Trump apologise after he reportedly called nations on the continent "shitholes".
The African Union mission in Washington DC expressed its "shock, dismay and outrage" and said the Trump administration misunderstood Africans.
The US leader made the alleged remark in a Thursday meeting on immigration.
But Mr Trump has denied using the language reported. He has been backed by two Republicans who were at the White House meeting, but Democratic Senator Dick Durbin said Mr Trump called African countries "shitholes" several times and used "racist" language.
On Friday, Mr Trump on Friday tweeted that his language he used at the private meeting with lawmakers to discuss immigration legislation had been "tough".
But he added that the words attributed to him were "not the language used".

This is extremely too much to swallow and I’m waiting to see how African governments is responding to this or we just going take it and suck it in without putting up any resistance to debunk Trump naivety ,ignorance and hate filled vile and racist comment .It would be a slap in the face of young African If our government did not respond in the appropriate way to tell the world Trump is ignorant and knows nothing about Africa .

What do you expect as far Africa leaders fail to build their own country or better their own citizen rather than looting money to US or Europe country, shame on Africa leaders. it is only gadafi ( RIP ) that is not weak to have respond to that dumb ass US president , president that look confused, a president that aways run away from journalists, a president that aways blame former president obama, what a shithole president.

But he has good plans rather than any other Africa leaders, ok do want to compare the life in Libya during is time and compare it to life in Nigeria, tell me one good thing we the citizen in Nigeria is enjoying with all the wealth the country have. Me and you don’t even get 1naira out of the natural resources or even enjoy basic things any citizen can enjoy or proud of in is country, e.g 24rh light , good hospital, good school , good road . I dont care about trump, he can say whatever he wants to say, infact the African leaders do not really have any value or substance in the world, we are so rich but we are waiting for white mens technology, to feed us, we are like a horrible sight in the world, there is a lot of shit in the land, human right zero, infrastructure zero, technology zero, tourism zero, am afriad because if we dont work together, nigeria will be like stench, with a very horrible smell, even the rich and powerful will smell the odour and they will carry this odour wherever they are, in the world.

For me is the Africa leaders that is the shithole , because they fail to build the country and better the life of their citizens, they are really the shithole. Africa leaders are really the problem in Africa, they bring the down fall of Africa countries so low in the eyes of the westerners. Very dumb Ass leaders, how can a wealthy country like Nigeria will still need or depend on aid from western countries. They are only good in wasting the resources and put blame on the western countries.
