SMH! Stray Bullet Kills Unilag Final Year Student And Staff

The Unilag student was hit in the chest by a stray bullet.
Akintunde Fadugba, a staff of the Centre for Information and Technology System, UNILAG, and Rasaq Akokia, a 400-level student, were, around 11 pm on Friday, killed by some hoodlums on Opayemi Street, Abule Ijesha, Yaba, Lagos State. According to his friends on Facebook, he was caught in the crossfire during a shoot-out on his street.
According to reports, the hoodlums numbering up to six and led by a drug dealer wanted by the police stormed the community on motorcycles and started shooting indiscriminately. Akintunde was hit in the chest while relaxing at a barber shop while Akokia was hit in the chest by a stray bullet while coming from a chemist where he went to buy drugs to see to his illness.
The spokesperson for UNILAG, Mrs Taiwo Oloyede, confirmed Fadugba’s death but said she was not aware a student was also killed.
She said,

“Mr. Fadugba was shot on Friday and we lost him. He was a senior non-teaching staff member of the Centre for Information and Technology System. He will be buried this week. I am not sure we lost any student, but I will confirm and get back to you.”
Just this morning, an Instagram user narrated how police extorted him after he filed a case concerning a stray bullet he escaped. He said he was made to part ways with the last N1000 note he had in his pocket. Read his post below.
