Some disturbing news updates reaching us is that Boko Haram are taking a rather worrying stance over the fate of Leah Sharibu, one of the 110 abducted #Dapchigirls insisting that the FG coughs out a hefty ransom of $10 million US Dollars or risk losing Leah (Liya) Shariabu to death, this is even more disturbing considering the girl is probably just around 9 - 11 years old and all her other muslim peers have been previously released in a deal brokered by the DSS department on behalf of the Federal government. There has been various rallies and support from the online christian community in Nigeria over the Leah Sharibu situation, with prominent redeemed church overseer, Pastor EA Adeboye praying for the safe return of the brave young girl and other christian celebrities praising her for the courage to stand in faith despite the glaring intimidation, see some of the tweets regarding this below:

Pastor Adeboye, help to pay the ransom instead of just praying. Where are the billionaire pastors. Now is the time to show that you are real men of God. Can any of you just pitch out this money from your billionaires of Naira and Dollars? This is challenge. Lets leave Buhari out of this for once. Let those so called men of God handle this. Give instead of always receiving. 1 Acts 20:35 says " There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving" (The money you have are not yours anyways).

not one bloody Naira will be paid by any church. They should release her unconditionally. it's a shame that some religious nutheads here are happy and frothing from their mouth with glee, because some coward criminals (who are their brothers)are holding a Christian child for ransom.

This whole drama doesn’t put together a scene ! It’s not the church not the government responsibility to pay ransom to some criminals who are using religion as excuse to perpetuate crimes .These criminals are are simply using the most vulnerable and most sensitive aspect of our nation diversity to commit crime and propagate hate . Knowing the Christian community will rally the government or take a tough stance rallying xtisns to contribute for the girl release.Let then release the girl unconditionally and government should intensify its effort to secure the girl release .If ransom is paid it will make it look so bad for the xtisn community paying ransom to some criminals disguising themselves as a Muslims .
Spare me

But first I blame the parents of this girl who allowed their daughter to attend a Muslim school when they know the country we are that there is no religion tolerance and full of discrimination. I pray God should guide and free her in Jesus Name.

Some people have right to say no ransom should be paid because it’s not their sister. Now if any so called pastor was kidnapped, would they simple ask everyone to pray? Won’t they pay for their release? You only need prayers for a situation that is almost inhumanly possible. This situation is humanly possible so it should be done. Everyone knows these are blood thirsty people and so we must not put God to the test. Yes as Christian it’s our duty to pray and also to act. We must show to those cowards that we love ourselves not just in words. Jesus parable concern a shepherd who left his 99 sheep for just one that was missing. This innocent young girl must not be used to decide religious or political sentiments. Free her first then we can argue on religion. The price will be negotiated and it’s nothing to pay for a dear life. If they release her free, very good but if not every Christian must fight and pay to free her.
