You know how people are quick to jump on the "I saw her butt naked" trend and many of us actually always think Butt Naked is a correct grammar? Well, surprise, surprise, the correct expression is being buck naked. The word buck naked is believed to have originated from a buck of male deers or goats where they can be seeing without any outer covering and due to the similar sound, people have systematically replaced the buck with butt, but the right word to use is buck naked

'Buck naked' is the standard expression but 'butt naked' is a contemporary version which has been generally accepted.
