The first ever case of monkeypox has been recorded in the UK. The rare viral infection was recorded on Friday in a Nigerian national staying at a naval base in Cornwall, Public Health England (PHE) said.

The patient was transferred to the expert infectious disease unit at the Royal Free Hospital in London on Saturday morning.

They are believed to have contracted the infection in Nigeria before travelling to the UK.

PHE said monkeypox does not spread easily and most patients recover within a few weeks, but it can cause severe illness in some people.

There is this finding that Africans have a strong immunity because they faced many diseases, and their bodies developed immunity to this diseases, but the cost was huge, for such evolution, nature support survival of the fittest, so without the absence of treatment many died and but the survivals likely developed immunity to such diseases, with the advent and the introduction of advanced medicine, Africans could stop developing natural immunity through natural selection.

Now humans can determine its evolution through Knowledge, they have the ability to edit their DNA, but at what cost, what are the negative effects of DNA editing.
Yet there may be natural ways to develop immunity through cycles of infection and human natural effort to gain immunity, this may be possible if humans understood how the acquired immunity and a stronger defense are developed.
