In our Country, or Africa generally, attempts should be made to save the Mother during childbirth problems, if one life must go. After childbirth, most mothers still have problem taking care of the child, even if she is healthy and buoyant, not to talk of when she is no longer around. The new born child does not lose anything if it returns to the Maker, a new set of parent with be arranged for it, if it is necessary for it to come back to Earth at that particular time.

 In Philosophy, when there are two evils, choose the lesser one. Mother's life first. If the life of the mother is saved, babies will come. but, if both mother and child are lost, a nation is lost because mothers make nation. However, efforts should be in place to save both lives but if not possible, save the mother.
