Federal High Court Revokes Ex-Abia State Governor, Orji Kalu’s Bail

The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has revoked ex-Abia State Governor, Orji Kalu’s bail for failure to appear before it. The embattled governor is currently being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for an alleged fraud of N7.65bn. Kalu is standing trial alongside his former Commissioner for Finance, Ude Udeogo, and a company, Slok Nigeria Limited, on the amended 39-count charge of money laundering to the tune of N7.6bn.
