5 Armed Robbery Syndicate Arrested and Paraded After Successful Operation In Ogun (Photos)

Men of the Nigeria police in Ogun state have apprehended notorious armed robbery gang and other criminals.  A five-man armed robbery syndicate whose stock-in-trade was to attack motorcycle warehouses, has been arrested and paraded by the Ogun state police command.
 
The syndicate was said to have first visited Amolad Enterprises Motorcycle warehouse, opposite University of Ibadan (UI) and later moved to another of such warehouses in Iwo Road.
 
There, it was gathered that, they overpowered the night guard, tied him before gaining entry into their main target, using various house breaking instruments.
 
The suspects, whose names were given as Nurudeen Odutola, 43 (ring leader) ; Olawuyi Saheed, 45; Kehinde Lateef, 31; Opeyemi Ganiyu, 33 and Sola Adegbite, 48, made away with over 30 motorbikes from the warehouse but were sniffed out of their hideouts by crack detectives, who also recovered 22 of stolen motorbikes.
 
Other suspects paraded included a motor driver, Solomon Boniface Okon, who absconded with his master’s Honda CRV Jeep from Ibadan and was tracked down in Akwa-Ibom, even as the stolen vehicle was recovered.
 
An Internet fraudster, Abiodun David, 23; a member of a four-man deadly armed robbery gang, 29-year-old Mohammed Umar; a fraudster who operated a taxi cab with which he obtained unsuspecting passengers under false pretences, and a 300 Level student of LAUTECH, 24-year-old Aremu Mayowa with penchant for rape through social media were also paraded.
 
The commissioner of police also disclosed that ten assorted vehicles recovered during stop and search operations were recovered and had been handed over to the owners.
