Two Ghanians, Wilson Nketia (57) and Mustapha Jubril (36), have been convicted by the Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti, for dealing in Indian Hemp. Each of them is expected to spend two years in Ado-Ekiti Federal Prison. The state Commander of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Bamidele Akingbade, disclosed at a press conference that the expatriates were arrested by his men for planting and selling Indian hemp in the state.

Akingbade, who condemned the rate at which Indian hemp was being cultivated in the state, noted that farmers of the illicit weed were taking advantage of the fertile soil of the state. This, he said, was responsible for the rate at which foreigners dealing in illicit drugs thronged the state to carry out their illegal businesses.

According to the Commander, the formation had arrested 73 suspects since he assumed office in May. No fewer than 76 acres of Indian hemp plantations were also discovered within the same period. Cataloguing the arrest made so far, Akingbade said 13 drug abusers were arrested at Atikankan area of Ado-Ekiti notorious for illicit drugs. Some of the people were also arrested at motorparks and other black spots in the state capital.

He disclosed that the formation was partnering with other security agencies in the state including the police, civil defence corps and the forest guards with a view to checking the activities of drug peddlers and farmers.
Commending the state House of Assembly for promulgating a law to support the state government’s resolve to confiscate any land and building where Indian hemp was cultivated or stored, the NDLEA boss expressed optimism that this would help in curtailing illicit drug peddling and planting in the state.

According to the commander, the formation discovered and seized over 2.5 tonnes of Indian hemp hidden in a cocoa plantation somewhere between Ikere and Ise-Ekiti some time in July. No fewer than six persons had been arrested in connection with the consignments.
He, however, vowed to make the state uncomfortable for illicit drug peddlers and farmers in the state, noting that those who were found culpable would be arraigned in court soon.

THEREFORE, THE INDIAN HEMP DEALERS SHOULD STOP THE ILLICIT BUSINESS OR ELSE, THEY MAY PERISH IN PRISONS. FOR THIS REASON, I ADVISES THE YOUTHS OF TODAY AGAINST DRUGS, CRIMES, BAD AND DANGEROUS VICES, FOR THE GENESIS IS THE MASER, WHILE BEAUTY IS THE EYES OF BEHOLDER. MY FELLOW COUNTRY PEOPLE, MAKE UNA HELP ME  SAY "NO TO DRUG". MY LAST.

STILL THE THIRD, I GUESSED.

Incase you all don't know is Alcohol Is more Lethal than Marijuana, Igbo, Skunk or whatever you call it. The fact that it is Illegal is very wrong just like the Legallity of Gay marriages in the U.S.A. Alcohol causes Diabetes, Stomach cancer, Liver cirosis, Brain Drain and a whole lot more. What of Ciga or Cigerretes, I don't want to even go there. Many deaths have been caused by alcohol through accidents, but how many have been caused by Mary Jane. Marijuana have been used medically and has been Legalized in a host of countries like Jamaica, Canada, Netherlands and I  don't see any wrong thing with this.  NOW LISTEN. WHY IGBO IS ILLEGAL IS BECAUSE IT WILL AFFECT THE BEER MARKET AND WILL REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY BEING PUMPED INTO THE DISTILLERS. HOW MANY LEGENDS HAVE USED THIS TOOL(marijuana): FELA(saluting), BOB MARLEY, LIL'WAYNE AND A HOST OF OTHERS. I would advice if taking in Marijuana take it without smoking it cause it is Known to cause Bronchitis if ABUSED. Just like any drug it can be abused. SO PASS ME THE GANJA BOI AND LETS LEGALIZE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
