Super Eagles forward Osaze Odemwinggie is the Barclays English Premier League player of the Month for September.

No Nigerian has won the award in seven years. The last Nigerian to win the award was Austin Jay Jay Okocha with Bolton Wanderers in November 2003. Odemwingie scored two goals in the month of September against Birmingham at the Hawthorns and against Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend.

His all round contribution was also important in the Baggies claiming seven out of a possible nine points in their three matches last month.

i hope he keeps his head down and strive to improve further....    if he manages to do just that and also stay injury free then i see him leaving Westhrom even as early as next January for a bigger team and also a much bigger package...  Wink
