Police arrest fake soldier with 20 bags of Indian hemp in Ogun

A middle-aged man, Mr Samuel Okwubusu, who claimed to be a Corporal in the Nigerian Army, has been arrested by the men of the Ogun State police command, with 20 bags of Indian hemp.
Okwubusu, from Aniocha Local Government in Delta State, was alleged to be with force number

NA048645, was arrested by the Anti-Crime Patrol team attached to the office of the Area Commander, Ilaro, in a Mercedes Benz 200 car marked GU 817 AAA Lagos, at Otakpele, a black spot near the Nigeria/Benin Republic border in Imeko Afon Local Government Area of the state.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said that Okwubusu confessed that his friend contracted the conveyance of the goods to Lagos for sale.

Adejobi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, said that Ogun State was not a transit or hidden place for any criminal, saying that the command had put all necessary anti-crime strategies in place to rid the state of crimes and criminalities.

He appealed to the people of  the state to continue to furnish the police with required information which would serve as an assistance to the police.
