over the years there has been a lot of cries from the education sector about proper funding, one however wonders whether those who make the policies have in mind what it will take to implement the policies. more sad to note is that no aspirant atleast none that i know of  presently makes education the topmost priority. just recently the National PTA called on the federal government to pay more attention to the funding and proper implementation of the present 6,3,3,4. educational system. evidently this means that the system is currently underfunded. again some weeks ago the federal government announced that it will create 6 more federal universities. what is good to know is that this will open opportunities for many qualified unemployed Nigerians, but one thing still looms large, with the present federal universities crying out-loud about not being adequately funded, and the neglect of the system by even presidential aspirants, one wonders what awaits the fate of the educational system.
