The Senate Leader, Teslim Folarin, who is held in Agodi Prisons, is standing trial alongside three others over the same matter.
Speaking with journalists in his office on Thursday, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Baba Bolanta, said that a number of suspects would be declared wanted on Friday (today).
Although, he did not give the names of the suspects, Bolanta said that those to be declared wanted were those suspected to have actively participated in the incident that led to Salako’s death.
On the claims by some politicians in the state that Folarin was being persecuted because of his opposition to the state Governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, the police boss insisted that the senator was directly linked to the killing.
He said that Folarin was arraigned on the strength of the statements made by the four police orderlies attached to him during their interrogation.
He added that the policemen would be dealt with in accordance with the rules of their engagement.
