How is the present day clash between Arabs and Jews a religious conflict?

I think the conflict is motivated more by economic needs  of both parties than religion.
They are both fighting for a small geographical area in the middle east. Both sides want
access to both water and arable lands.

The truth there is a lot of machines in this world that has to be powered by OIL.......the middle east has a lot of it,in order to control it you need a geographical area in the middle of hostile neighbors......to justify it you need a book.........HOLY ,TO SAY THAT GOD SAID THAT THE LAND BELONGS TO YOU.........hence to control it you need people that have corrupt leaders.........so it is you have  AN UNENDING CONFLICT

The fight over Jerusalem/al-Quds is nothing but religion in the end. Israel/Palestine is called the Holy Land for a reason, you know!
