The National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, called on the youth to cast their vote for the party which brings them hope and promises economic empowerment.

‎”I bring to you, the people of Nigeria, a new kind of idea, through a new kind of leadership because of the problem created for Nigeria, by the PDP in the last 12 years,” Chief Akande said. “We thought about it, that how can we clear this problem; the problems are problems of corruption, insecurity to lives and property, poverty.

Our solution is in bringing in new brand of leadership. We looked at all the leaders and the problems and we are now sure whether our problems are insoluble because of recycled leaders. We now think that our problems can be solved by these two young men. I have brought Ribadu and Fola Adeola. One is a very good expert in corruption and security matters and the other in economic affairs. Two of them combined can solve the poverty in Nigeria.”

The party had in a colloquium which held last week promised to create 30 million jobs if voted into office at the federal level and people are hopeful that with the duo of an anti-graft chief and an economy expert, it is possible.

Mallam Ribadu and his running mate who were addressing a crowd for the first time together expressed their joy at the crowd that came out to welcome them and urged them to vote the ruling party out of power.

“I am amazed by this,” Mallam Ribadu said. “You all should people should go out, vote and protect your vote. I am overwhelmed by the crowd here and I promise we will not fail you. We are here to rebuild Nigeria and we will keep our promise.”

Mr. Adeola, in his first political public address as running mate said: “We have come here because of you, to ease the pain that may put you in gainful employment. Not by stealing it, but by working for it and earning it. We will sit down with you, understand your yearning, know the kind of things you produce, guarantee your pricing. We are ready to work hard so that tomorrow shall be greater than today. Vote for us, trust us, we are new on the scene and we are bringing new ideas”

Others who addressed the crowd include: The governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola; the former governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi; and governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregebsola. Mr Aregbesola shared the success story of ACN in Osun State where he sits as governor.

He persuaded the jubilant crowd to turn their enthusiasm into votes and promised that the way the there would be a national turn around, should the ACN be voted into power at the federal level.

“It takes a great party, purposeful, bold to look in and bring out two fresh and dynamic men,” Mr. Aregbesola said. “I know and it is a fact that Nigeria is made up of 70 per cent youth. You owe it to yourself, your future and your kids to stand by ACN presidential candidate.

We have demonstrated performance in Lagos, Edo, Ekiti and Osun that good governance is a possibility. Osun is a testimony. In 100 days, I have employed 20,000 youth. It is unprecedented in Nigeria. That is what we promise you; employment, food security, development, pride and integrity.
