Mrs Cecilia Ibru regained her freedom sometime in Feb 2011 and was allowed to leave the country according to Azuh Arinze of Encomium Magazine. She’s believed to be hibernating in one of the family’s houses in St John’s Wood, London UK.

Encomium Mag reached out to EFCC spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, to inquire about her release. His alleged response was “I’m not aware, please. Only the Nigeria Prisons can confirm that since she’s been in their custody.”

A source at the Nigeria Prisons confirmed her release to the magazine, saying “Of course she has been freed. She was freed after she completed her jail term.”

Any banker involve in her kind of case in china ends up committing suicide cause definitely she will get a death sentence with all privileges takes from her en the entire family, en why do dey kill them self,... cause of the shame dey might face the next morning as they die dangling on a rope, but what happen to Bode George and this Ibru of woman, they all serve 2 yrs(with VIP service behind bars) people like Ibru...end up claiming they are ill and their family had them admitted in the highest hospital of Nigeria in Victoria  Island with a vip consolidatry an unlimited visitation from friends en family,

I wonder who is gonna save out belove country from its numerous years of decay en corruption, cause tribalism will always hinder all kind of revolution from happening in Nigeria, and even when it does happen, who is that spotless being that's gonna move our country forward,
when a man like Niyi Bankole(speaker of the house) who was nominated cause of his highly influential and western orientation,.... it took him just 1 year to join the looter in the house and even upgrade the system of looting from analog to digital.... God help us!!

Her sentence was too lenient for stealing billions. China and other countries have executed bankers and other officials for less. She has no doubt come to London to gather together the remnants of her dwindling ill-gotten wealth.
