One can hardly mention many people with golden hearts without the name, Lawrence Onuzulike, popping up. Lawrence Onuzulike is a man who, despite coming from a very wealthy and influential background, dedicates his young life to doing charity works around the world, helping children, making celebrities out of ordinary people, and finally, mixing with everyone no matter how high or low they are in life.
Lawrence Onuzulike, a multi-talented and hard working individual, is an editor-in-chief, an author, a musician, an actor, and an activist who’s fiercely against wars and discrimination against women. He’s also a devoted campaigner who champions the cause for better lives for African kids through his Children Africa Foundation. It’s still worthy to note that ten percent of the sales from his music album “Still Single and Rich” goes to charities that cater for African kids..
His humbleness and kindheartedness ensure he relates to everybody with love and open arms. He finds ability in people that are hard-working, and then give them the opportunity to develop and grow, no matter their status and ages.
His last book, Lawrence Onuzulike – Until now, published in 2010, contains great messages to all. In the thought-provoking book, the fierce and fearless writer who has the heart of a lion touched on important issues that most writers normally shy away from.
In the book, Lawrence shared his incisive opinions on delicate topics like; the wrongful portrayal of Africa by the west, the sudden surge in social decadence in our society, the unnecessary wars that are slowly eating away any peace that’s still left in the world, and more.
Lawrence Onuzulike tried to provide voice for Africa without being anti-west. The book is not all about wielding the stick against corrupt governments and evil doers. There are many humorous parts where I couldn’t help but laugh out aloud. Lawrence has a wicked way of weaving humor into the most serious topics making even the most boring topics, like politics and governments, fun to read about.
Since obtaining my own copy, I have passed it round to, at least, six friends and I can’t remember anyone who dropped the book until the very end. in fact, we’re all excited about his upcoming book which, according to reports making round, should be available sometime this year.
With his book available in the big book stores around the world, one can’t stop thanking this young and soft-spoken man for making Nigeria so proud.
