Reports from Kaduna, the home state of the Vice-President Namadi Sambo, stated that about 150 youth corpers have had their hands and limbs hacked off by people protesting the outcome of the 2011 presidential elections in Kaduna State.

A youth corper who managed to escape the brutal attacks, narrated how they were rounded up by some youths. Their attackers appeared to be organised and they were told to line up and in turn had their hands amputated. Those who tried to escape had their limbs chopped off. But some of them managed to escape and have alerted the authorities.

The victims are in separate hospitals undergoing treatment. Many terrified youth corpers are said to be migrating away from Kaduna State to their respective states of origins. So far the authorities, in order to prevent the risk of reprisal attacks, have refused to disclose the number of dead victims. Reports indicated thousands of youth corpers were salughtered with about 35,000 receiving treament or displaced.

The Nigeria Police Force and the military have made their presence felt and effecting arrests. President Jonathan has promised to set up a judicial inquiry to look into the post presidential elections crisis. On his part, the CPC Presidential candidate, General Muhamadu Buhari has condemned the attacks on churches and the violence in general in a brief comment to BBC Hausa Service. But observers noted that he has stopped short of condemning the mindless killings of the youth corpers.

Domestic and international Observers have declared the presidential elections as free and fair.

Thank you for asking for verification of this news. I have read most
Nigerian newspapers online as well as international newspapers, none
had this story. What is the source? Please lets not rush to judgement here.

There were riots in parts of the northern states by those dissatisfied with
the election results. These were reported in all newspapers. However
no news about the rioters amputating hands of corpers.

Lets not inflame the already tense situation.

Just because an Igbo man won the election as a president. that is why they are killing innocent people. I wish one person, Just one person will ship those malams to arab. I dont know what they are still doing in Nigeria. Idiots. When they were on the throne, nobody talked, nobody made noise, nobody killed. now God gave it to others, they start war. make una dey see o. They will start the fight first, when Igbos start to kill them in the east, everybody will say that igbo people are wicked, killers etc. now see what they are doing to Christians because of Jonathan. I hate those people with no gap. Malams.

If Buhari claimed to be a good leader as he always proclaimed,he should address his people on national television and accept the outcome of result. The observants both domestic and international have accepted the elections result as fair and credible one.
Buhari should congrats the winner and respect the feelings of the masses instead of making unnecessary comments by arguing on the fact of elections result.
