There was something else in mind to share today, but this was laid on my heart to share instead.

-God is almighty and powerful and only wants the best for us.

-The best way to get to know this first hand for yourself is to read his word, the Bible.

-There are many things we need to know that relate to our everyday life in the Bible.

The law of gravity is in effect and many of us know of it because we are taught at a young age what happens if we do not obey the law of gravity.  As Christians, we have to obey those laws as well.  Meaning, if a Christian now walks of the top of a mountain  (God forbid) because God protects his people, fully knowing that the law of gravity is is effect...what is going to happen to that Christian?  Most likely he will physically die from the fall.  Will God stop the law of gravity because the Christian chose not to obey it? No.

{It doesn't mean he has to die, no; or angels can't be sent, they can be sent; or a miracle can't take place, a miracle can take place...it is only God who knows the heart of man-but this is going into a whole different truth}  So much is build on God's word and God does not and can not lie.

>>>A person is either under the old covenant (Old testament) with God or under the new covenant (New Testament) with God.  There is no in-between.  Those who are not with God are under the old covenant which included judgment.  Those who are with God, through Jesus Christ, are under the new covenant which includes grace. <<<

Genesis 8:22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Let's focus on seedtime and harvest.  If a corn seed is planted in the ground today, one can not go out the next day looking for corn.  It will take time for the seed to grow and after that comes the harvest of corn, because corn is what was planted.  One can neither plant a corn seed, expecting to find tomatoes at harvest time.

Our actions are like seeds.  If we do good to people, good will be our harvest.  If we do bad to people, bad will be our harvest.  Whatever we plant, we have to eat.

Job 4:8
Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.

Proverbs 22:8
He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.

Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

>>>>>It is not okay to hurt innocent people just because we were wronged or someone else has hurt us.  We may have a just cause but it becomes unjust, when innocent people are brutally killed.  And people can not only be killed physically, they can be killed mentally, emotionally and spiritually.   The enemy is using men and women everywhere, who allow him, to kill the most innocent of all...the children.  Through senseless and selfish behavior some men and women are out to destroy people's homes, all in the name of vanity.  If they are allowed to destroy a home, the children sometimes are not as protected as they can be. <<<<

Luke 17:2
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

We are suppose to stand against evil and stand on what is right...but the innocent are not suppose to be casualties.
God can work it out so that the unjust get what they have asked for in their actions, while keeping the innocent shielded and safe.   What a great God!!!!!

Jehovah,
May your people everywhere be stirred up to take a stand against what goes against your word...in Jesus name.  We thank you for what you have done for us....your blessings are many.  We love you with all our heart, mind and soul.  All to your glory...in Jesus name, amen.

You may waste your time reading Jack Chick drivel, but I won't.

After posting, I'm now curious...why do you call Jack Chick's booklets drivel?

Because they are vile, deceitful, bigoted, proudly ihgnorant wastes of paper.

Wow...oookkk
I was introduced to Chick when I was a kid and can only speak to the truth of the message in the booklets.  If something else is going on ministry wise, I am unaware of it.

Please, do you say they are all these things because you don't believe in the message?

Or, is it because they have acted in a vile, deceitful, bigoted, proudly ingnorant manner?

Nigerian Christian Movie Gist

Just A Little Sin:

This movie shares the story of a man and a woman who are engaged to be married and both strive to serve God with their lives.  The woman is given a word from God by her Pastor that through her singing ministry, she will touch many for God in near and far places.  The woman receives it and began walking towards her destiny.  One night, they arrived late back to the lady's apartment.  Her fiance saw her into the apartment and stayed a little while.  In that little while, they committed fornication.  Both were very upset about what they allowed to just happened.  Though they were engaged to be married, they are not married yet, and is not suppose to bond with one another in a segxwal manner.  They asked God to forgive them for what they did.  They saw each other every day but they avoided spending time alone together...just the two of them.  Their Pastor spoke to them about the chosen wedding to be held at the church, the couple chose the month of November.  Next thing, the woman found out she was about 6 weeks pregnant.  Her fiance began acting some how because he wanted to push her towards getting an abortion.  To hide their act of fornication, they both allowed the thought of abortion into their mind.  They were reasoning that it would save them from shame and avoid damage to their ministries.  God sent a message to the woman in a dream, in the dream God told her not to kill the baby, that he would help take care of her.  But, the woman in the dream shot and killed her baby...then immediately a man in black came with a gun and shot and killer her.  She told her fiance about the dream but he said he didn't know what it meant.  In short, the woman went for the abortion but the fiance took her to a far place where no one would know them.  It turned out that the doctor who performed her abortion was also a cultist...a devil worshiper.  That doctor took her unborn baby that was killed and some of her blood, and sacrificed it to one fake god/demon.  Because she had given herself to that doctor, who now sacrificed her body on altar of the fake god, one day the woman she just began spitting up blood while she was at work.  When she went to the hospital, they now told her that she also had lung cancer and she was dying.  God revealed to the woman why it's said she has lung cancer and it all had to do with her putting herself into the hands of that devil worshiping doctor.  I won't share what happened at the end of the movie this time.  It is a very interesting movie!

{Life Note:  God warns us of danger and when we are going in the wrong direction in many ways, and through people.  What looks like a solution apart from the truth...is definitely a trap.  Confessing our wrongs can be painful but afterwards, it's over with and the devil can not use it against us any longer.}

Dear Heavenly Father,
We pray for those who put themselves in harms way and who jump into the hands of the enemy through bad decisions and choices.  These choices lead many to death...emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically.  So many walking dead everywhere, leaving themselves wide open for the devil's influence and dominance.  We pray that the veil from their eyes be taken away and they see the light in you that gives life.  We pray that they ask for forgiveness of their sins and surrender their life to you Lord Jesus.  From there, you will begin to work on every other thing in their life that is not suppose to be there.  We all make some bad choices and even fall down. For those that are yours Lord, let the desire to stick to the truth be ever so strong.  When we fall or offend, let it be most urgent for us to correct, and seek forgiveness.  Master God thank you for the grace and mercy that you give to us.  We are thankful, so very thankful.  All this we ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.[/

Believing What You Have Received

By Bishop K.B.
This week's topic: Faithfulness

When Abraham believed the promises of God, he was believing in a specific Word from God. People think they are exercising faith by saying, “I am believing God for a BMW.” Have you sought the Lord to see whether or not he wants you to have that BMW?

Faith isn't believing in just anything. Faith is believing in the Word that you have received from God. Faith can only truly operate where the will of God is known.

The only way you can be free from doubt is because you have a Word from God; this is not just something that you desire. Abraham had a Word from God--so shall thy seed be--and that's the reason he could become strong in faith and give glory to God. If hearing from God is of critical importance in having faith, then you better learn how to hear the voice of God and how to get that Word from God.

You may say, “Well, you never know what God is going to do.” God, however, wants you to know what He is going to do because you are His children. He doesn't want satan's children to know what is going on, but He wants you to know what is going on because you are His. Christianity is not a religion. It is an experience with somebody who is alive, somebody who wants to give you direction, somebody who will change your life forever. His name is Jesus Christ the Messiah. You need to spend time with Him and the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. Don't make excuses about being too busy or having too many responsibilities. You will always find a way to do what you really want to do.

If you make a decision to grow in the things of God on a daily basis, you will be a person who is far more perceptive spiritually than someone trying to hear God in the middle of a storm. It is not impossible to build a house in the middle of a storm, but it's a lot easier to build it when things are calm. The time to develop yourself is while things are working well and while you are healthy and healed. People want to run to God when trouble comes, but it's far better to live in the Spirit on a daily basis.

Scripture Of The Day: "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." - Mark 11:23

Father God,

May those in Lagos, (Nigeria, everwhere) receive your blessings as they are believing...in Jesus name.  We thank you for food, clothes and shelter.  Jehovah we thank you for blessings and victory mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially...in Jesus name.  Thank you for watching over us, where ever we may go.  Let our hearts receive the message shared in this devotion today...all in Jesus' name...the Lion of Judah, amen!

I don't follow her ministry but I did find this article online regarding Helen Ukpabio of Liberty Gospel Church:

Helen Ukpabio Tells State Governor to “Remember what Happened to Saddam Hussein“.
Posted on August 27, 2009 by Richard Bartholomew
Claims police also searching for UK Observer journalist and Sophie Okonedo

Nigerian evangelist Helen Ukpabio has a threatening message for the state governor of Akwa Ibom (Nigeria), Godswill Akpabio:

“Governor Akpabio should note that Charles Taylor once held sway in Liberia but today is on trial for crime he committed while in office. He should also remember what happened to Saddam Hussein in Iraq and therefore we want him to remember that he would be held accountable for his actions while he was in power,” the evangelist said.

Ukpabio and her lawyer Victor Ukutt are upset because Akpabio had intervened to protect the headquarters of the Child Rights and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN), which was recently raided by the police - with Ukutt in attendance. CRARN has in recent months gained international recognition for its work protecting children who have been accused of witchcraft by local evangelists, following
the broadcast of an award-winning Channel 4 documentary in December.  This documentary went viral worldwide (it was also recently broadcast in Australia), and Akpabio has been under serious pressure to improve the situation. Helen Ukpabio, however, maintains thar CRARN’s president Sam Itauma is a “wizard”, and that the children CRARN protects really are witches who need “deliverance”.

@CammyWhite

I checked out Jack Chick...while waiting for your response.  I recall some of his booklets from when I was a kid, remembering that the message is basic but straight-forward and it still is.  There are a wide range of booklets covering numerous topics such as Latter Day Saints, Jehovah witnesses, Islam, Wiccan, evolutionist and New Age, which I have not seen or read.  But much of what I read people believe he is against the Catholic religion, against women, etc..  Though some of his booklets are typical, more like the ones I have seen, I have also read that some say many booklets are bizarre, which I can not comment on because I have not seen them.  I do not follow his ministry but what I've just read, it seems many say that he places minorities in a negative light, while placing whites in a good light (Though the booklet "Mean Mama" was about whites).   There is not much written about him at all, except many posting of those he talks about in the booklets.  It seems he lives a very private life.  I did find this letter from Jack Chick on his website:

Dear Ones in Christ,

Hot, humid nights are ahead as summer arrives, but this year it comes with unrest, hot tempers and vengeance that could make lots and lots of problems for us. Have you noticed the pictures on TV of the crowds in Arizona? Many are holding up their right arms with a clinched fist. That is the symbol of the communist party worldwide.

Beloved, if we thought communism was no longer a threat, then we’re badly mistaken. Communism is alive and well and growing nicely, especially in our school systems.

Young minds are not taught about God, but about trusting in government to help and guide them through life. Morals are shot, the 10 commandments are declared unconstitutional and above all a major shift is occurring. That which was considered right is now considered wrong.

Young people know nothing of the socialist governments of Germany and Russia that slaughtered millions. I believe we are quickly moving in that direction. People are relying on political change instead of the Lord to help them, and that’s very dangerous. The political leaders we rely on will often turn and surprise us, even betray our trust. We need to show the world that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only One we can really depend on.

The Lord once gave us a tract to counter this! But we pulled it back because it was ahead of the times. Now, we are releasing it again: The Poor Revolutionist! Forces are pushing for the fall of our nation, but this tract, if put in the hands of our youth, will push back this evil.

Read it carefully; The Poor Revolutionist is very effective.

Your brother in Christ,

           Jack Chick

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will research more...but until then, I will not post any other booklets.

Heavenly Father,

You are a great a God!.  Who you are is so big that our minds can not fully grasp.  But you show up in our lives everyday to do the miraculous.  You love and protect us.  You bless us with so much.  We just thank and praise you..hallelujah!.  Lord continue to bless your people in Lagos (Nigerian and everywhere).  Protect them and their homes from attacks or theft, in Jesus name.  Protect them and their children from kidnappings and harm, in Jesus name.  Place extra angels around them to protect them where ever they go.  Any person who has it in their heart to do evil, Jehovah...great I Am,  let that person not even see them in the powerful name of Jesus Christ!  In every prayer we include our youth.  They are being bombarded from different angels.  The enemy wants to destroy them at an early age but we, with the authority you gave to us bind and rebuke every plan the enemy has for them in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ!  They are covered in the blood of your precious son Jesus Christ!  Let our youth come to you as you call them Jesus, so that they may have everything they need to succeed in this life.  Thank you Father for hearing us and answering our prayers in Jesus name, amen.

Proverbs 24: 1-4
Don't envy evil people; don't desire their company.  For they spend their days potting violence and their words are always stirring up trouble.  A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense.  Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.

RE: Jack Chick in earlier years, I have read that he was a very shy person but wanted to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with others.  He loved drawing and decided to use this medium of comic booklets as a way to share the message of salvation with the world.

Some of the booklet may look like they were created in the 1970's because of how they are dressed and the word phrases said but...television shows are like that too.  One can either choose to watch or choose to not watch. During the 1970's there was still alot of racism in the US.  Racism is an unacceptable and delusional mind set but many still choose to embrace it.  To me, I see the booklets as comic books...sort of the same lines of an analogy.  It is the point and not the point at the same time. (Sorry if I lost anyone)  Through sharing a basic story, it is also sharing the basic message of the Good News unto salvation.

To date, I have not found anything presenting him as a racist.  Also, I have not read anything in his booklets that goes against the Bible.  Please always remember, the truth is the truth no matter who says it.

Still researching....still reading....will keep you posted.

Nigerian Christian Movie Gist

Last Option:
This movies was heart wrenching.  It is of a husband and wife, who have one daughter together.  Things are not so smooth, so the husband makes arrangement to go to the USA.  They sale almost everything to raise money, plus the husband borrows some money.  Enough money is raised and the husband (Chris) goes to the US.  For the first few months, he sends money back home to his wife but then nothing.  The wife and daughter began to suffer.  The loan that the husband took out, was being demanded to be paid.  The wife went about looking for legitimate work.  She did so many jobs that were demanding physically.  One job after the other, only to have each and everyone of them take advantage of her and short change her.  Paying her way under what they were suppose to, when they knew they had the naira to pay her.  Through the pain and the tears, she pressed on, so that her and her daughter could manage day to day.  A letter arrived by mail from her husband Chris, who was still in the US.  She was so happy to receive it, only to read him telling her to forget about him.  Her husband was now with another woman...and he changed his telephone number and email address.  The wife now went crazy.  She literally went mad.  The wife's sister now took the daughter to the city to take care of her and she was also suppose to send her to school.  Instead the aunt sending her niece to school, she began loaning her out to different people and making money off of her.  She went in as a house help, but many of the men were taking advantage of her...forcing her to have sex with them against her will. The last family, the husband got her pregnant and the wife beat the girl unconscious for naira she accused the girl of stealing but she misplaced.  The girl was rushed to the hospital.  The doctor who took care of her, was also a Christian.  Her case was heavy on his heart and he began to interceed for her and her family.  The doctor looked for the aunt and asked why had she treated her niece the way she had.  He told the aunt that she could be charged with child trafficing.  The doctor now asked the aunt to take him to where the mother of the daugther was.  The doctor now took the mother to his home, where him and his wife prayed for her and took care of her until she got better.  And, she did get better.  The daughter who was hospitalized was also getting better, but a test revealed that she was HIV positive.  She cried and cried...and soon after gave her heart to Jesus Christ.  The mother who was mad, regained her senses 100% and also gave her heart to Jesus Christ.  The daughter had unforgiveness in her heart towards the last couple who abused her so and put her in the hospital.  The mother had unforgiveness in her heart towards her husband, who abandoned them.  Back in the US, Chris was eating all the bad he planted.  The wife he chose in the US through him out, he went to another woman and it was bad also.  He now went with another woman and he said this one was the worse.  The church he attened in the US, now helped him make it back to Nigeria by buying his plane ticket.   Chris shared all with their Pastor in Nigeria, and Chris gave his heart to Jesus Christ.  They all met with the Pastor and doctor's help.  In the end, they all found it in their heart to forgive and the little girl and her family was reunited.  And..the little girl was healed of HIV.

{Life Note:  If anyone comes to us and asks forgiveness we are suppose to forgive them.  Though at times, it not easy at all.   But, just because we forgive them it doesn't mean what they did was ok...no.  We forgive knowing that God is our avenger.  And our letting go of the issue and giving the matter to God, he will justly handle it.  We plant nothing bad that we have to eat and the person has been dealth with.  Though we are not suppose to gloat (be happy) when there evil deed catch up with.}

Father,
You are Jehovah-Jireh, my provider and El Shaddai, the God of more than enough and we lift our hands and praise you for being who you are.  We stand in agreement with brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world to rejoice...you are the one and only living God.  Thank you heavenly Father for keeping us.  You are a faithful God and you said you will never leave us or forsake us...thank you Father.  We too trust you.  We pray for those who are in need, that their needs are met physically and spiritually...in Jesus name.  Lord, we thank you for today and everyday....in Jesus' wonderful name, amen.

Proverbs 24:17-18
Do not rejoice when your enemies fall into trouble.  Don't be happy when they stumble.  For the Lord will be displeased with you and will turn his anger away from them.

Great and glorious God, we thank you for blessing us to see another day.  We take for granted so many things Lord, please forgive us.  Let us continually praise you, you are the only one worthy to be praised.  We humbly acknowledge many do not know you or your ways.  Those who don't know you, we pray they surrender to you...in Jesus name.  And those that know you we pray they stand on your promises...in Jesus name.  We pray for an awesome awakening that will transform Lagos...transform Nigeria...in the mighty name of Jesus.  We thank you for the prayer warriors and interceesors everywhere, who are praying for Lagos, Nigeria and all citizens.  Strengthen each for the spiritual battles he or she will face.  For we are empowered by your Spirit to live by faith genuinely and transparently to impact our family, our community and the entire nation.  In the blessed name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Psalm 32:1-5
Oh, what joy for those whose rebellion is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight!  Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!  When I refused to confess my sin, I was weak and miserable, and I groaned all day long.  Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.  My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.  Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them.  I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the Lord."  And you forgave me!  All my guilt is gone.

Today, I would like to share a devotion I received from Greg Laurie's Ministry.  It speaks on an issue that is very important, as previously mentioned also by @democrazy and @CammyWhite.

Moved to Action

"And they said to me, 'The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.' So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven."
Nehemiah 1:3–4

Alexander McLaren said, "You tell me the depth of a Christian's compassion, and I will tell you the measure of his usefulness." How deep does your compassion go? God is looking for such people.

How does it affect you, knowing there are many people who do not know Christ, knowing they are basically on their way to a certain judgment? Does it move you? Until you are moved in the depths of your soul, you will not be moved to take any action. Nehemiah was a man in a position of great influence and power as he served under the king. He was not a preacher or priest or scribe. He was what we might call a layman today. But Nehemiah loved God.

One day, someone told him about the plight of the Jews and how the city of Jerusalem was now lying in ruins. Nehemiah began to weep and pray and say, "Lord, what can I do about this problem?" After his weeping came working. After his despair came determination.

The devastation of Jerusalem touched him, and he wanted to do something about it. So he prayed and he devised a plan. Then that plan began to unfold.

These are two essential ingredients for effectively sharing our faith. It must start with a God-given burden, leading us to prayer. And then we need to go out and do something.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Let your people everywhere be stirred to action...in Jesus name.  God when you are at the helm of our doing, things go along as they should.  Look at many years ago when there were no radio, no television, no telephone, no automobile, no computer, etc., yet disciples reached the world with the message of Good News and salvation through Jesus Christ.  Lives were transformed!  And, it does continue today thank God but let the focus first be you Jehovah... and other things will follow.  We praise your glorious name and thank you for hearing and answering our prayers in Jesus name, amen.

Any improvement yet?

Of course...and yes, measureable improvements occur everyday in the lives of so many people; but what is your standard?

If a father gives his heart to God, he will be a light to his family.  If his wife and children give their heart to God, they will be a light to the community.  If many others in the community give their heart to God, they will be a light to the city, state, etc.   We will continue to pray for those who have not accepted God's free gift through Jesus Christ

2 Peter 3:9 says,
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Time is given so people can repent.  Once a person dies, his or her decision to accept Jesus or not accept Jesus becomes final.  God's will is for none of us to perish.  But, it is still one's choice to choose life through Jesus Christ or remain spiritually dead.  God does not force himself on anyone.  So, no matter what is going on in a city, state or nation...free will remains (there's more to this).  This truth will not change.  Thus, we continue to pray for others so that they choose to accept Jesus (there's more to this), receive spiritual life, and become a new creature.

Transformed!

Proverbs Chapter 2

My child, listen to me and treasure my instructions.  Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.  Cry out for insight and understanding.  Search for them as you would for lost money or hidden treasure.  Then you will understand what is means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.  For the Lord grants wisdom!  From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.  He grants a treasure of good sense to the godly.  He is their shield, protecting those who walk with integrity.  He guards the paths of justice and protects those who are faithful to him.  Then you will understand what is right, just and fair, and you will know how to find the right course of action every time.  For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy.  Wise planning will watch over you.  Understanding will keep you safe.  Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose speech is corrupt.  These people turn from right ways to walk down dark and evil paths.  They rejoice in doing wrong and they enjoy evil as it turns things upside down.  What they do is crooked, and their ways are wrong.  Wisdom will save you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the adulterous woman.  She had abandoned her husband and ignores the covenant she made before God.  Entering her house leads to death; it is the road to hell.  The man who visits her is doomed.  He will never reach the paths of life.  Follow the steps of good men instead, and stay on the paths of the righteous.  For only the upright will live in the land, and those who have integrity will remain in it.  But the wicked will be removed from the land, and the treacherous will be destroyed

Father God,
We come to you realizing only you can give freedom from the web of satan.  We thank you for loving us as you do.  Abba, Father, thank you for wrapping your arms of love around your people, so that we do not look to the world with its false hopes.  The devil dangles many things before our ours, promising so much and delivering so little.  Please forgive us of our sins in Jesus name.  We rebuke satan in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and bind every unclean spirit...in Jesus Holy name.  Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven.  You devil, we see you as you really are, a spiritual spider trying to paralyze us with your cords of lies, habits and bondage.  We command you in Jesus name to GO and never return!  We thank you Jesus for the wonderful freedom that you give to us.  We thank you for freeing us from the forces of the enemy.  We loose your Holy spirit in our lives according to Matthew 18:18 which says that whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  We loose resurrection life, strength, protection, peace, joy and gifts of healings to do a complete work in our body and soul.  Lord Jesus we so appreciate your victory over satan in every area of our life.  Heavenly Father thank you for everything...in the Almighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.
