Matthew 5:2-14

And he {Jesus} opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Jehovah,
People have intentions to do so many things.  Those things may be good and they may be bad.  But, prayer changes things supernatuarlly.  Those government officials in Abuja who are not about doing right by the people of Nigeria, Lord we pray they be moved out of the way and replaced with someone who will do the right thing for all citizens, not just his or her people.   We pray that every obstacle towards a positive change be removed in Jesus name.  We pray that every plot against those standing on your word be spoiled and destroyed in Jesus name.  We are the warriors for Jesus Christ, there is nothing we can not do through Him.  All glory to our Lord, Savior and Messiah...Jesus Christ.  Jehovah God we thank you for the life you have given to us through Jesus.  We stand together in prayer, in Jesus name, amen.

Lessons For Daily Life

Proverbs 6:20-35
My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.  When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.  For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.  Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.  For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adultress will hunt for the precious life.

Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?  Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?  So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.  Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;  But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.  But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.  A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.  For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.  He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.

Majestic God,
We magnify and praise your Holy name.  We thank you for keeping us in your love and watching over us throughout the day.  As the day ends and we prepare to go to sleep, Lord let our mind be renewed and reminded of all Your goodness.  We thank you for your promises and we stand firm on your word.   Thank you for being there for us in the deepest part of the of night.  Lord, you are great and there is no one like you.  We are grateful, thank you in Jesus name, amen.

Another Warning about Immoral Women

Proverbs 7
My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.  Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.  Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman: That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)  So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.  Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.  I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.  I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.  Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.   For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:
He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.  With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.  He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.  Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.  Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.  For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.  Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Bless the reader and the doer of your word, in Jesus name.  Jehovah, we pray for the lost in Abuja, Nigeria and everywhere that they receive the general revelation that is shared with them daily, every time they walk outside.  The sky, the trees, the wind, the ocean, the sun, the stars, etc.  God reveals himself in so many ways because it is His will that no one perishes.  God said, if one seek him, they will surely find him.  We pray that the hearts of those searching be unhardened, that they seek God and God will surely send one of his people to share salvation through Jesus Christ.  We the prayer warriors for Jesus Christ stand in the gap for those lost.. in Jesus name, amen.

Keeping Up Appearances

Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, went to the leading priests and asked, "How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?" And they gave him thirty pieces of silver.
Matthew 26:14–15

There is an old English adage that says, "Still as of old, man by himself is priced. For 30 pieces Judas sold himself, not Christ."

We think Judas sold Jesus, but it was in fact Judas who sold his own soul. How much is a soul worth? Judas figured that 30 pieces of silver ought to do it.

And not only that, he betrayed Jesus with a kiss—a kiss from hell. Judas could have pointed Jesus out and said, "Okay, guys, that is Jesus. Take Him. Now give me my money." But no, Judas instead went up to Jesus and, in what looked like an act of affection and devotion, he kissed Jesus on the cheek. Judas wanted to appear to be spiritual.

There are people like that today. They are spiritually diseased on the inside but they want to appear godly on the outside. Judas is proof that association with godliness is no guarantee that you will be godly. Do you think that if you hang around godly people, it will make you godly? Not at all. They can be a good influence on you, and I highly recommend that you hang out with godly people. But I also recommend that you be a godly person who influences others. However, these things alone will not change your character in and of itself.

It would be like going out to a restaurant with friends, and while they order off the menu, you say, "Oh, I am not going to order anything. I will just look at the pictures in this menu. That will meet my needs and fill my stomach."

You cannot grow spiritually by simply hanging around with godly people. To grow wise and develop spiritually, you must personally take in what Jesus offers.

Dear Lord,
Thank you for blesssing us to see another day.  Thank you for watching over us through the night so no hurt, harm or danger came to us.  Thank you for our food, clothes and shelter.  Thank you for blessing us physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially.  Thank you for loving us and for keeping a hedge of protection around us where ever we go.  Father God, you are so merciful and gracious to us, words can not be found to express how much we appreciated all you have done for us.  We want to be real on the inside and on the outside.  We do not wish to do things for appearance sake but we want to be genuine in all our ways.  Father, let us continue to examine ourselves daily and whatever is not suppose to be there, help us to remove it, in Jesus name.  You have blessed us with everything we need and we receive it, in Jesus name.  Life is good but with you Lord...life is sweet!  We give you the hightest praise Jehovah!  Lord, thank you for hearing and answering our prayers in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, amen.

The Proverbs of Solomon

Proverbs 10
The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.  The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.  He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.  He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.  Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.  The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.  He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.  He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.  The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.  Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.  Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.  The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.  The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.  He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.  He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.  In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.  The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.  The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.  The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.  It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.  The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.  As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.  As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.  The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.  The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.  The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.  The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.  The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.  The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

Jehovah,
We rejoice and give praises to you for who you are!  We marvel at all the wonder and beauty you made for us in so many exciting places on this earch.  Lord bless your people everywhere, may they continue to trust you, lean on your strength and remain in your protection.  Lord, let the heart of the lost be softened so that they may seek and find what they've been searching for all along, in Jesus name.  Bless and protect the youth, widows and the innocent everywhere in Jesus name.   We thank you for answering our prayer in Jesus' mighty name, amen.

The Proverbs of Solomon (continued)

Proverbs 11
The Lord detests the use of dishonest scales, but he delights in accurate weights.  Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.  Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people.  Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.  The godly are directed by honesty; the wicked fall beneath their load of sin.  The godliness of good people rescues them; the ambition of treacherous people traps them.  When the wicked die, their hopes die with them, for they rely on their own feeble strength. The godly are rescued from trouble, and it falls on the wicked instead. With their words, the godless destroy their friends, but knowledge will rescue the righteous.  The whole city celebrates when the godly succeed; they shout for joy when the wicked die.  Upright citizens are good for a city and make it prosper, but the talk of the wicked tears it apart.  It is foolish to belittle one’s neighbor; a sensible person keeps quiet.  A gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence.  Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers.  There’s danger in putting up security for a stranger’s debt; it’s safer not to guarantee another person’s debt.  A gracious woman gains respect, but ruthless men gain only wealth.  Your kindness will reward you, but your cruelty will destroy you.  Evil people get rich for the moment, but the reward of the godly will last.  Godly people find life; evil people find death.  The Lord detests people with crooked hearts, but he delights in those with integrity.  Evil people will surely be punished, but the children of the godly will go free.  A beautiful woman who lacks discretion
is like a gold ring in a pig’s snout.  The godly can look forward to a reward,  while the wicked can expect only judgment.  Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.  The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.  People curse those who hoard their grain, but they bless the one who sells in time of need.  If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you!  Trust in your money and down you go!  But the godly flourish like leaves in spring.  Those who bring trouble on their families inherit the wind.  The fool will be a servant to the wise.  The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life; a wise person wins friends.[a] If the righteous are rewarded here on earth, what will happen to wicked sinners?

Father God,
We begin by asking you to forgive us for our sins.  We have not allowed you to reign supreme in our life.  It is you that makes something beautiful out of our life.  In the mighty name of Jesus, satan we bind the haughty spirit (spirit of pride), who is a theif and a robber.  We will not let you lead us away from God's will for our life.  We loose a humble spirit into our life.  We choose to walk the path you would have us to go. And we can best find the path by reading and studying your word which is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.  Thank you gracious Father for hearing and answering our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ. amen.

The Proverbs of Solomon (continued)

Proverbs 12
To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction. The Lord approves of those who are good, but he condemns those who plan wickedness.  Wickedness never brings stability, but the godly have deep roots.  A worthy wife is a crown for her husband,
but a disgraceful woman is like cancer in his bones.  The plans of the godly are just; the advice of the wicked is treacherous.  The words of the wicked are like a murderous ambush, but the words of the godly save lives.  The wicked die and disappear, but the family of the godly stands firm.  A sensible person wins admiration, but a warped mind is despised.  etter to be an ordinary person with a servant than to be self-important but have no food.  The godly care for their animals, but the wicked are always cruel.  A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies has no sense.  Thieves are jealous of each other’s loot, but the godly are well rooted and bear their own fruit.  The wicked are trapped by their own words, but the godly escape such trouble.  Wise words bring many benefits, and hard work brings rewards.  Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others.  A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted.  An honest witness tells the truth; a false witness tells lies.  Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.  Truthful words stand the test of time, but lies are soon exposed.
Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil; joy fills hearts that are planning peace!  No harm comes to the godly, but the wicked have their fill of trouble.  The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.  The wise don’t make a show of their knowledge, but fools broadcast their foolishness.  Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.  Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.  The godly give good advice to their friends;[a]  the wicked lead them astray.
Lazy people don’t even cook the game they catch, but the diligent make use of everything they find.  The way of the godly leads to life; that path does not lead to death.

Abba,
Wonderful provider....our rock and our shield.  We stand together and praise your Holy name.  There is no one above you!  You are the alpha and the omega!  The King of kings and Lord of lords.  We ask that you please forgive us all our sins.  Lord Jesus Christ, we are warriors and conquerors in your name and you have given us the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy..and nothing shall harm us in your name.  We stand together against the demonic influences and bind the spirit of selfishness, greed, inferiority, jealousy, arrogance, self-pity in Jesus name.  We loose love, peace, joy, confidence, humility, giving, and concern for others in Jesus name.  Thank you for answering our prayers Heavenly Father, you are so great, in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

A Watered-Down Gospel

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3

Without question the greatest life to live is the Christian life, because God takes a life that was empty, aimless, and, worst of all, headed for a certain judgment and then turns it around and transforms it. He forgives all our sin, removes our guilt, and literally takes residence inside of us through the Holy Spirit. Most importantly, He changes our eternal address from a place called hell to a place called heaven. This all comes about as a result of the power of the gospel proclaimed and believed.

Yet some have believed what I would describe as a watered-down version of the gospel, a gospel that promises forgiveness but rarely mentions the need to repent of your sin, a gospel that promises peace but never warns of persecution, a gospel that says God wants you to be healthy and wealthy and never have any problems to speak of, a gospel that says you will so find the favor of God that a parking space always will be available for you. But that is not the gospel of the New Testament.

The Christian life is not a playground, but a battleground. Not only is there a God who loves you and has a plan for your life, but there is also a devil who hates you and opposes God's plan.

I am not suggesting that once you become a Christian, you will be sick, poor, and miserable. But the essence of the Christian life is knowing and walking with God. It is about sticking with Him when the sky is blue and also when it is filled with clouds. It is about pressing on. Jesus made it clear that storms will enter every life. But as we seek to know and follow Christ, we will find happiness as a fringe benefit.

Thank you Heavenly Father,
You are there for us rain or shine.  You are everything we need and so much more.  We are so grateful for your many blessings you bestow upon us.  Bless your people in Abuja.  Let them remain strong.  Your people everywhere, we are all on the front lines in this spiritual war.  Great God we thank you for equipping us in every way.  We thank you for the power through Jesus Christ.  We thank you for covering us in the blood of Jesus.  We thank you for the angels you send on our behalf.  We thank you for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  We thank you for the knowledge and foresight that you give in all situations.  We thank you for clearing the way of all obstacles and hinderances before us. We thank you for keeping our family and friends both near and far.  We send highest praises to you Father God...you are the only one worthy.  All glory to you, the one and only King.  Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Not so at all.  I'm not speaking in my name and it's not about me it's about God.  I am only sharing what God has freely given...we are not suppose to keep what we know to ourself.

It was placed on my heart to open this page and I did so.  God knows why.  From the start there is always an open and standing invitation for brothers and sisters to share freely, even start the day's prayers.  You and all should please feel free to lead in prayer and/or share encouragment at anytime.   I don't have to start the prayer for the day but if no one else does, I will.  In these times, I know many of us are praying all over and it is hopeful that more will share what God is doing in their life here as to uplift one another.   This page is to encourage brothers and sisters in Christ, especially those on the battle field and remind us (including myself) of some things that may have been forgotten.  Prayer is a very mighty weapon!

Since there has not been much participation here yet, are you implying that I should stop moving forward?

Matthew 16:19
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 18:18 also reads:
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Master God,
You love us so much that you have given us the keys to the kingdom of heaven.  Many innocent people lost their lives in Abuja at the hands of those allowing satan to use them for evil.  Lord Jesus please keep those who lost love ones in the bombing.  Our prayers and condolenscenses to each and every one affected.  Dear Lord, we stand together with those in Abuja to destroy the demonic influcences in Jesus name!  We bind every unclean spirit that is operating in the lives of the ones who kill the innocent, in Jesus name!  We loose God's truth, peace, justice, discernment, honesty, comfort, healing and protection in Jesus name!  Let the ones responsible for the bombing be found, caught and brought to immediate justice, in Jesus name, amen.

God Works the Night Shift

It is 3:00 A.M., the house is quiet, your family members are asleep, it is warm, it is dark, and you should be asleep too . . . but your mind is racing, your heart is pounding, and worries overwhelm you. You might be thinking about the pressing needs of a tomorrow that will find you unprepared, or it may be an area of concern—financial, relational, or employment. You may even continually find yourself in a place where you are out of hope and out of peace. A place that points to a spiritual separation from God that leaves you vulnerable and open to attacks of anxiety from the enemy. There is something about this part of the night that seems to magnify all of these problems, and I am not sure exactly why that is. Maybe that is why the psalmist said "He guards us from the flaming arrows at night."

I am convinced that we need God's help, not only when we are alert and awake, but even when we are sleeping. As you get ready to go to sleep, I think that it is a great thing to end the day in prayer. It has been said that God works the nightshift, and it is so true.

The best place to start is back at the beginning of each new day. Start your day in prayer, committing your decisions, your challenges, and whatever you are going to face that day to the Lord. Then, as I suggested, end your day with prayer as well. In each instance, our prayer should be, "Lord, here it is. I commit it to You." It reminds me of a quote from Martin Luther, "Pray and let God worry." I like that. Not that God worries, but the idea is that you should pray about it, rather than worry about it.

Let me ask you right now, is there something troubling you? Is there something eating away at you? Bothering you? Irritating you? Causing you to be afraid? Pray about it, right now. Just say, "Lord, I can't handle it." Philippians says, "Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. The peace of God that passes all human understanding will keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus."

So don't worry. Pray. You will sleep, and live, much better.

Phillipians 4:6
Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Abba,
Thank you for giving us the freedom to live life as it should be lived, without bondage of any kind, ever since we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  Jesus, thank you for saving us.  We believe your word and all the promises you gives to us.  Thank you so very much for loving us the way you do.  We commit this day unto you, let us do and say what glorifies your name, alone.
Jehovah, bless your Holy name, amen!

Since there has not been much participation here yet, are you implying that I should stop moving forward?

...not at all sis...if it gives you happiness...keep moving...

ok thank you... Smiley

My brother, would you like to start the days prayer for us and share whatever else God places on your heart to share?

The Lord's Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13
After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Great and Mighty God,
As we reflect over this month, please let us address the issues that you bring to our heart to address.  Let us examine ourselves and correct what needs to be corrected in our lives, so that we can stand boldly to proclaim your word where ever we go.  There are people's hearts who are searching for someone to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with them...so many.  Let your people everywhere who are not get moving in Jesus name.  God, we stand on your promises alone and we will continue to do so in the name of Jesus Christ.  Thank you for blessing and keeping us, in the glorious name of Jesus Christ, amen.

This is why Nigeria still remains backward and un-progressive. Instead of tackling their problems head on, they resort to an imaginary god to deliver them from their problems. If they are unemployed, hungry, sick, threatened or having business difficulties, they attribute all their problems to "evil forces" and pray to their imaginary friend to deliver them. The old men who have finished this country through intensive looting of funds have the guts to remain in the country, enjoying their stolen wealth, they are even regarded as "elder statesmen"  who call the shots, everybody respects them and all people can do is PRAY! Meanwhile, the same people who are "praying" would waste no time in decapitating and burning the thief who stole a tuber of yam to quench his hunger that was caused by the economic strife caused by these same "elder statesmen". Whenever i hear people say "Let's pray over it", i interpret as meaning "There is nothing that can be done about it".

Look at the most advanced countries such as Leichestein which is rated as the most non-religious country in the world and yet, they have one of the best enviable economies, impressive per capita income, next to zero crime rate and their plants and animals have more CIVIL RIGHTS than the average Nigerian! Compare that with Nigeria that easily passes as the most religious country in the world with churches competing with the number of residential houses (my street has less than 15 houses and yet, there are THREE churches!). With the abundance of religion, we are still regarded as untrustworthy, unreliable and dubious people. Insane level of wickedness pervades the land. Human life means nothing. So much for all the prayers. The looters keep looting and looting and the people keep praying harder and harder (like possessed demented souls! ! !).

In between, the bombings and violence going on through Boko Haram is strictly political and not based on religion. The Northern elite are merely using Islamic fanatics as pawns in their political chess game. For those of you who pay attention, you would have observed that the senseless skyrocketed immediately after GEJ was announced winner of the presidential elections. What does that tell you? Do i need to spell it out?  Use your heads and think abeg!

Nuff said!

@harakiri
It is a false statement when you say the only thing people are doing is praying.  There are people who don't believe in God and people who believe in God, who are DOING their part to fight and stand against the injustices you mentioned.  Are you one of those people?

I do understand your point of view, where the ones who are looting and robbing the country blind are being regarded in high esteem.  Even the gods they worship is a source of confusion.  There is a vicious circle in operation meant to make good people think they can't do anything, thus they do not do anything.  People are suppose to be doing something about these wrongs. The questions are why are they being held in high esteem and who is allowing it? Your interpretation regarding the words "Let's pray over it" is just that, your interpretaion.  Can one know when they have arrived if they don't know where they are going?  Prayer is communication.  And in that communication the person, the person will get the full picture of what's going on.  The person then has to choose whether or not to act.  If the person chooses to do nothing, God is not at fault.  The person is at fault.  Many people are trying to blame God for what they are not doing.  Trying to blame God for their not doing what they already know they are suppose to do.  So logically, those who are allowing the ones to loot and rob Nigeria blind while still holding them in high esteem are accomplices to all the wrong doings.  Right?

Also, whatever or whoever one has in God's place...if it is stealing, destroying or killing the person or others spiritually, mentally, physically or spiritually it is not for good.

Can one clean a pot on the outside, while leaving the inside dirty? If the inside is dirty, the pot is not clean.  The root issue is a spiritual one.  Accept or don't accept.  If one's heart is not hard, they could not just stand by and watch all of this evil take place without stepping into action.  No violence either.

Prayer is doing what it is suppose to do but it does not mean that people are not suppose to be doing what they are suppose to do and know is right. Even, how can one have their hands in evil acts and still be asking God to punish another for the same evil acts they do also?

I agree with you regarding the boko haram and the escalation of their cowardly attacks against innocent people.

This country you mentioned...good for them if all is as it seems.

Isaiah 61
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.  And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.  But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.  For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.  For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.  And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.

I Am,
We come before you with many things on our hearts.  Many have eyes but they still can not see.  We pray for those who are blind and seek you in the most peculiar ways.  In Jesus name, let their source of unbelief be confronted and answered.  Let their hearts soften to the words of life.  You love us so much, and in your love for us you have given us the authority to do works in your name.  It's so true when you said the harvest is plenty but the workers are few.  Let your people be serious and diligent about kingdom business...in Jesus name, amen.
