  A Warning Against Hypocrisy

Luke 12
In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.  For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.  Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.  And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.  But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.  Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?  But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.  Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.  And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.  And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

O Lord,
We give you honor, glory and praise for all things.  There are times when it seems nothing is happening at all, but you have promised in your word that all things work together for good for those that love you.  Father God, we love you with all our heart, all our mind and all our soul. Jehovah, you are very faithful to us, even we are not faithful to you.  I watched one nice movie which brought out the question, are you a profitable servant of God or an unprofitable servant of God?  Dear Jesus, we want to be profitable always.  Let us listen to the advice you give us, not only listen but do.  Step out on faith and just do it.  Since you're telling us to, everything will work out the way it is suppose to.  Lord, we thank you that some of those who partook in the recent Abuja bombing have been caught.  Lord, let these be the actual one, who can lead to the other, so that they are all found, caught and brought to justice, in Jesus name.  We are grateful Father God.  Thank you for answering our prayers, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Rejoicing on Our Way

Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.
Acts 8:39

The Bible tells the story of a man from Ethiopia who came to Jerusalem, searching for God. This man was in a high cabinet possession in which he served the queen. He no doubt traveled with an entourage, because he was a man of importance. He had heard about the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the faith of the Jewish people. So he went to Jerusalem to look for God, but he didn't find him.

Yet he did obtain something of great value: a scroll of Isaiah, which he happened to be reading as he made his journey back home. It just so happened that as he was reading from Isaiah 53 and cruising along in his chariot, Philip came along. God had told him to go to the desert, but he didn't know why. He was just standing around in the middle of nowhere, waiting. Then this entourage came by, and Philip looked up and heard this dignitary reading from Isaiah 53. So Philip approached him and asked, "Do you understand what you are reading?" (Acts 8:30).

The dignitary answered, "How can I, unless someone guides me?" (verse 31). Then he invited Philip to join him. So Philip climbed into the chariot, explained Isaiah 53, and told him that it was speaking of the Messiah. Jesus is the one who fulfilled that Scripture, who died on the cross, and who rose again from the dead. Wanting to believe, the man said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?" (verse 36). So Philip told him that nothing hindered him if he believed with his whole heart. The story ends with the dignitary going on his way, rejoicing.

And so it is for everyone who comes to faith in Christ: we go on our way, rejoicing.

Father God,
The miraculous things you do in our lives!  You are so amazing...so incredible.  This devotion gives a clear demonstration of how you work in the life of a believer.  We don't always know why you tell us to do the things you tell us to do but when we do them as see what you have done...it's hard to describe in words but it's feels like an over-running fountain of joy inside.   Jehovah, you are a wonderful God, thank you for saving us through your son Jesus Christ.  We dedicate this day and every day to you...in Jesus name, amen.

Proverbs 21

The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.  Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.  To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.  The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.  The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.  The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.  The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.  It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.  The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.  When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.  The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.  Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.  A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.  It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.  The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.  He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.  The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.  It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.  There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.  He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.  A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.  Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.  Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.  The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.  He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.  The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?  A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.  A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.  There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.  The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

Merciful and gracious God,
We thank you for blessing us to see a new month.  Lord, today we lift of t he youth in Abuja.  All the ones that are called to be leaders in the near futher.  We pray that they choose to follow your ways dear God, so that the positive change everyone is hoping for comes to pass in Jesus name.  We lift up each and every one of them, you know who they are by name and cover them in the blood of Jesus.  In their coming and going, please place extra angels around them to protect them from hurt and harm.  Heavenly Father, let their desire be to fulfill the divine purpose you have for their life, in Jeus name.  Thank you Father for hearing and answering our prayers in Jesus' name, amen.

I've been talking to some people and they have shared on this topic... the generation that saw Israel become a nation will not pass away before the coming of Christ...they are using Matthew 24:34 as the basis.  But, when I read this verse, I don't read anything like what some people are saying.  As well scripture reads that no man knows when Christ will return, on that he will return.

Are there any Pastors here who can shed some light on this topic for us?  Or, anyone who is hearing this being taught and/or wish to shed some light on the subject, we would appreciate it.

Matthew 24 reads:
And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.  And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows.  Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.  And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.  When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)  Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:  Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:  Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.  And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!  But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.  Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  Behold, I have told you before.  Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.   For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.   But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.  But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.  But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.  Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.  Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.   Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.  But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;  And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;  The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,  And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Dear God,
Please bless our hearts to understand and receive your word the way that you intend...in Jesus name, amen.

Psalm 32
A psalm[a] of David.

1 Oh, what joy for those
      whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight!
2 Yes, what joy for those
whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt,
whose lives are lived in complete honesty!
3 When I refused to confess my sin,
      my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long.
4 Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.
My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.
                         Interlude

5 Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.”
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
                         Interlude

6 Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time,
that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment.
 7 For you are my hiding place;
      you protect me from trouble.
You surround me with songs of victory.
                         Interlude

8 The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.
9 Do not be like a senseless horse or mule
that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.”

10 Many sorrows come to the wicked,
but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord.
11 So rejoice in the Lord and be glad, all you who obey him!
Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!

Jehovah,
Your word is so precious.  Thank you for loving us and keepings us as you do.  What great promises you have for your people.  We receive them all in Jesus name, amen.[/

Psalm 112

Praise the Lord!  How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.  Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.  They themselves will be wealthy,  and their good deeds will last forever.   Light shines in the darkness for the godly.  They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.  Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.  Such people will not be overcome by evil.  Those who are righteous will be long remembered.  They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.

They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.  They share freely and give generously to those in need.  Their good deeds will be remembered forever.  They will have influence and honor.  The wicked will see this and be infuriated.  They will grind their teeth in anger; they will slink away, their hopes thwarted.

Supreme God,
Thank you for the blessings you bestow upon us everyday.  We are ever so grateful.  Lord please forgive us our sins in Jesus name.  You are a great God, a wonderful God and all good comes from you.  Lord we pray for the widows throughout the land and that all their needs be met in Jesus name.  Glory be to God for only he is worthy to be praised.  Thank you Jehovah for hearing and answering our prayer in Jesus marvelous name, amen.

Story of the Farmer Scattering Seed

Luke 8:4-15
And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.  And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.  And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.  And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.  And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?  And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.  Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.  And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.  But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Gracious Father,
Today has been a wonderful day!  Thank you for being who you are in our lives.  Thank you for blessing us with food, clothes and shelter.  Thank you for watching over us as we sleep through the night.  Thank you Lord for keeping us safe where ever we go.  Master God, we just praise you!  You are holy...and so amazing.  Father, there are many people in need of you and we stand in the gamp for them...in Jesus name.  May their hearts be softened to the truth of your word, in Jesus name.  May they begin to seek you...for that is the beginning; then they will surely find you, in Jesus name.  Abba, you are so loving and so faithful.  Thank you for hearing and answering our prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords, amen.

One-Minute Nigerian Christian Movie Gist

Unprofitable Servant:
This was actually part play and part movie...quite interesting.  I watched this movie a short time ago and mentioned some of it's content in a prayer here.  The play touched some very good points.  As Christians, we all hope to be profitable servants.  When Christians do something they are not suppose to or don't do something they are suppose to, it has an affect.  God gives tasks for each of us to carryout.  It is for our good and at the same time for the good of others.  But, if we choose not to carryout the task for whatever reason; God will give the task to another believer.  The play gave an excellent demonstration of how satan and his demons talk in peoples ears to influence them to do things that can hurt and/or kill them.  Once the person acted on what the demon said...the demon just laughed at the person.  One true born again Christian named Deborah, binded satan/demons in Jesus name to stop fast their evil talking, influence and assignment that was meant to keep her from doing what God told her to do.  Those ones who trust God and does what he instructed, no matter how the sitation looked were named profitable servants and truly blessed.

Matthew 25:1-13
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.  They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.  But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.  Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.  Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

O God of our salvation,
Please forgive us all our sins.  Sometimes we get so wrapped up in these temporary things on earth that we loose focus.  Even, we began to place priority on things that do not matter at all in the big picture of life.  People matter and we as your people are suppose to be about kingdom business...Your business.  We ask that you help us root the things out of our lives that are not suppose to be there...in Jesus name.  Continued strength, love, peace and protection to your people in Abuja, Nigeria and everywhere.  All in Jesus name we pray, amen.

In Touch with God

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16

I love praying with kids. They do their kid things that are so cute. Sometimes their prayers are heartfelt and so sincere, while at other times, they will be cheating or not praying at all.

We adults tend to attach a lot of emphasis to the verbiage that we use in prayer or to the length of our prayers, but God doesn't care about those things so much. He is not really interested in the eloquence of our prayers. And He certainly is not impressed by long prayers. In fact, the great prayers of the Bible are brief. I believe that our prayers in private should be long, while our prayers in public should be short. But the main thing is that we need to be praying.

So what is the objective of prayer? Is it to tell God something He doesn't know? Or is it to convince God to do something that He doesn't necessarily want to do? The answer is no. God knows all things, and God will do what He will do.

Then why pray? The value of prayer is that it keeps us in touch with God. Prayer should be thought of as a relationship between a father and child. We may think that God will give us everything that we need, for every situation, all at once. But if God were to give us all of His glorious gifts in one lump sum, there would be the danger of enjoying the gifts and forgetting the Giver.

God gives us what we need as we need it. This also keeps us dependent on Him, not unlike a child who receives an allowance from a parent.

In the same way, we need to come back to God each day, finding "grace to help in time of need."

Jehovah,
We rejoice in your name.  We dedicate ourselves to you in everyway.  Let us learn what you want us to learn, so we can be where you want us to be.  So much needs to done and time is going fast.  Many lost souls need divine intervention..Father God we stand in the gap for them where ever they in Jesus name, amen.  Master God we praise you...hallelujah!

There was a girl who a Christian, who was friends with a girl who was not a Christian.  They were very close.  God had placed it on the Christian's heart to tell her friend about Jesus Christ.  But, because of their closeness, the Christian was afraid that if she began to tell her friend about Jesus, it will cause the girl to not want to be friends with her again.  So, the Christian put off telling her friend about the salvation of Jesus Christ.  One evening the Christian said to herself, "how can I say that I care about and love my friend if I do not tell her about the salvation of Christ?"   Before going to bed that night, the Christian determined that tomorrow, no matter what, she was going to tell her friend about the salvation of Jesus.

That night, the Christian had a dream.  In her dream, she heard her friend crying out to her saying, "why didn't you tell me?"  Then, the Christian saw the flames and could see that her friend was in hell.  The friend told the Christian, "you never loved or cared for me, if you did, you would have told me about this place."  "You would have told me about Jesus."  "Why didn't you tell me?"  "Why didn't you tell me?"  The Christian woke from the dream in a sweat.  She looked around and saw it was already morning, so she immediately went to the telephone to call her friend.  The Christian said, hello and asked to speak to her friend.  The friend's mother had answered the phone but there was a silence.  The friend's mom now said, I'm sorry to have to say but my daughter...your friend died in an automobile accident last night.

I do not recall the title, but this was one of the Chick tracts that I read and has served as a reminder ever since.  Who ever God sends across my path, has been sent for a reason; or my crossing others path is for a reason.  So, whatever God places on my heart to share with the person, I do it, even if it doesn't seem to make sense to me.  It may make perfect sense to the person sooner or later.

Here is what I have found regarding Jack Chick of Jack Chick Publication:

Jack Chick has addressed many topics in his tracts.  He has covered the subject of the theory of evolution, Bible prophecy, the occult, Roman Catholics, Islam and the qu'ran, Mormons-Latter Day Saints, abortion, homosegxwality, rock music, Jehovah witnesses, demon possession, Harry Potter, communism, mystical and new age beliefs, Wicca, feminists, pagans, satanism, masonic masons, atheism, Jews, witchcraft, dungeons and dragons, astrology, Ouija boards, KKK, black helicopters, Buddhism, secular worldview, Halloween, Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, political correctness, one world government, Illuminati, the Mafia, the last generation and many more.

Some said his comics are racist.  If he the tract is in an Asian language, the people will be Asian and so on.  Most of what I found was written by those Jack Chick has written about.  Many believe he is anti-catholic. Others write that he uses stereotypes, that he makes whites look normal and other others look evil, some say the things he says are misleading.  Some voiced the things he says slanderous and fails to explain what is meant in some of his tracks which might leave some confused.

Jack Chick is considered the most published comic book author in the world. Some say that his style is hard and equivalent to the fire and brimstone preaching in done early years. One said that Jack Chick is in the world of non-learned evangelicals. It is said that Chick Publications have distributed over 500,000,000 tracts worldwide.

-----
It was noted that Jack Chick was born in 1924.  As a kid, Jack Chick loved to draw, though was not religious.  He went on to high school or secondary school, then won a scholarship to a California Playhouse but was drafted into the military for about three years. While in the military, he traveled to New Guinea, Australia, the Philippines and Japan.  After the military, he married his wife Lynn, who aided in his salvation.  He became a professional cartoonist but now as a Christian wanted to use his talent to serve God.

Jack Chick wrote that, he went to church and saw all the deadness and hypocrisy, and  thought, that’s why there’s no revival.  So I started making these little sketches. Borrowed money to write his first printing of Why No Revival?  Chick Publication officially formed in 1970.  At first, Jack Chick wrote and did the comic drawings.  But, it is said in 1972, he hired another artist named Fred Carter.  Fred Carter, who is reported to be African-American and did the comics in the tracts anonymously until 1980.  The most popular tract, THIS WAS YOUR LIFE, has been translated into approximately 100 languages.  Jack Chick's wife and love of 50 years passed away in 1998.  Jack Chick continued in his ministry.  Jack Chick has produced a movie titled, The Light of the World, which can be found on www.youtube.com.

I found a picture where it said possibly Jack Chick from years earlier.  I could find no recent pictures or any pictures that firmly stated with certainty that it was Jack Chick. I read, Jack Chick does not have any pictures or photos available because of the numerous threats against his life from the many groups he has written about.  Though one, who was aware why there are no pictures of Jack Chick publicly available, had a drawing done of Jack Chick.  It is suppose to be a drawing of what he looks like now and is available online. It was stated that Chick Publications rarely granted tours for the same safety reasons.

Jack Chick, by many are known as a controversial American evangelical Christian cartoonist, who publishes fundamentalist Christian tracts and comic books.

Alot of the the biographical information was available on Jack Chick's website.  I found no information including Jack Chick in any scandals or such online.  Most of the information written are by others.  Alot of people do support Chick tracts, and many missionaries share the tracts even today.  But, many do not support Chick tracts.

As I shared in the Prayers for Lagos post, I have only seen certain tracts when I was a kid which presented the gospel of salvation is a basic and simple way.  During this recent time, I have read some of the other tracts.  I can see how groups might take offense to what is being said and in the way it is being shared.

I can say that the Chick tracts that I was exposed to, which included, This Was Your Life, did not include any controversy.  With what's available, one has to make a decision to support or not support what they read from Chick Publications.  As for me, the Chick tracts that I read as a kid, I support.  I have only been able to find a few of them as an adult, but I found no controversy in them.  And those tracts I've found as an adult, I have shared personally with others.  I will not share them through this type medium or on 9japals.  Although, I will continue what I have always been doing and that is share them face to face, where I and/or my pastor is available to assist in answering questions that may come.  So many of the tracts are available at Chick Publications website.  I am still currently reading through them.  Please, share your own opinion?

After writing the above, this scripture came to mind.  Luke 6:43-45 reads:
A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good fruit.  A tree is identified by the kind of fruit it produces.  Figs never grow on thornbushes or grapes on bramble bushes.  A good person produces good deeds from a good heart, and an evil person produces evil deeds from an evil heart.  Whatever is in your heart determines what you say.

Almighty God,
Let us do your will always but let us also do it in love.  It is important eternally that those who do not know you be reached in time, Lord, let us remain compassionate as you were.  You do not force us, nor should we try to force others.  Your Holy Spirit is here and each person has to make a personal decision to have a relationship with you or not.  We pray that the veil be removed from their eyes in Jesus name and that their hearts be softened to hear and receive your word.  We pray all in Jesus name, amen.

The Prayer:

Dear God,
I am a sinner and need forgiveness.  Please forgive me all my sins.  I believe Jesus Christ
shed His precious blood for me, died for my sins and rose on the 3rd day.  Jesus I invite you to come into my heart and into my life as my personal Savior.  Thank you Jesus for saving me, amen.

If you have said this prayer:
You are saved and is a new creation…amen!
All of heaven is rejoicing for YOU!

You now have new life!
Just as a baby can not be born today and began to do everything adults do, it is the same for those who are babies in Jesus Christ.

To help you grow and learn about Jesus:
1.  Read the Bible (many say an older KJV or King James Version) everyday.
2.  Talk to God in prayer everyday.
3.  Fellowship/attend a Bible believing and doing Church. A church that believe the Bible is the final authority.  And be baptized.

We welcome you to the family of God*******
