The Lille shot stopper says he did not mean to create disharmony during the recent ACN qualifier against Madagascar, where he caused a flight delay .
Coach Samson Siasia reacted by dropping him to the bench in their 2-0 victory over the Barea and he returned to France ahead of the 3-1 loss to Argentina in their friendly match on Tuesday.

“I apologise to coach Samson Siasia, my team-mates, the NFF and all the Nigerian fans of which I am one, who were all focused on the big game in Madagascar,” Enyeama said in a press release.

“I will also try and apologise to the coach privately later in the week so that he knows my apology is sincere.

“I certainly didn’t intend to distract the team. I’ve always known who the captain of the Super Eagles is. This was all a big distraction and I would like all of us to come together as a big family and move on.

Siasia has worked at maintaining discipline among his star players after he suspended Peter Odemwingie for two games as a result of the player’s outburst on Twitter after quitting camp without permission.

apologizing is good, however, Nigeria players should try avoid creating unnecessary scenes that will warrant them to apologize for at the end...stupid egoistic players

Enyeama has been a player I respected so much. So, I didn't expect what he did from him not even at that crucial time. Anyway, he had shown who he is by apologising - thanks to Siasia the disciplinarian.
