AC Milan faced another setback on Wednesday when Alexandre Pato went down with a muscle injury and had to leave the game less than 20 minutes in.

When Pato went out, it allowed the world the chance to see Stephan El Shaarawy pull a goal back for Milan and tie Udinese 1-1.

However, Pato's injury leaves nine players currently injured.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Massimo Ambrosini, Luca Antonini, Philippe Mexes, Gennaro Gattuso and Mathieu Flamini were all on the injured list Wednesday and now Pato joins that list, making things very difficult for those who have earned two draws and a loss in their first three Serie A games.

Many are already ready to write the Italian champions off. This is laughable. Whether it is Serie A or, more importantly, the Champions League, Milan are still a favorite.

Milan sit on two points in Serie A at the moment, five points off the pace in the league. Is it really time to panic? They say titles aren't won in September and the saying is quite true. Milan were in a hole last year when they fell to Cesena in the second round and then drew the next time out with Catania. Many people were worried then, but Milan came through.

Ibrahimovic returns against Cesena. Robinho is about a week away. Boateng may not be too far off. When these three players are back, they will help the team big time.

While Milan's run to the Scudetto may be tough, they do find themselves in good position in their most important competition—the Champions League.

Having won Serie A last season, Milan made it their known goal is to win the Champions League this season.

One game in, Milan have one point after the draw with Barcelona in Spain. Think about that—Milan were on about five injuries at that point. They were able to draw Barcelona and barring a defensive hiccup by Gianluca Zambrotta and a dive by Pedro leading to a David Villa free kick, they could have won.

When Milan get most of their key players back, they can surely beat the Blaugrana.

And if you can beat Barcelona, you can beat anyone in the world. No doubt about it.

Again, when Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns, the team will be even better on offense. Presently, Pato is the only rue goal scorer in the starting XI right now and with the return of key players, Stephan El Shaarawy may be dropped from the team

Everyone is complaining about the lack of inspiration in the midfield, but that is not helped by the absence of Kevin-Prince Boateng. With Boateng in the midfield, Milan are always better, as was made obvious last year.

Again, at full strength, Milan are among the world's best. With the return of Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Kevin-Prince Boateng, Milan will be ready to make a comeback in Italy and continue to compete in Europe. Philippe Mexes will certainly help, as will Taye Taiwo, who has been on the bench for the first two games since he was cleared.

Worrying is the last thing Milan fans should do at the moment.
