@Onyii,i no mean to insult you but na u make me to over react when underline my comment on read,saying that my Christianity allow a man to keep a woman in his house and fucck her to death.
Now u don come to wetin i dey talk,the girl na regular visitor to the guy,the guy no forces the babe,na wetin them do freely and at will as boy friend and girl friend before it result to death to one partner which is termed to be an accident.
Again,i know say Christianity no dey support sex without marriage but u and me know say this generation relationship no fit work without sex,it has been a kinda normal issue in relationship,but since wahala don enter the show,the family of the baby no suppose to force the guy to marry the dead babe,Christianity do not support that too.
How can someone marry a dead woman,it is sacrilegious and think kind of tradition need to be abolished,some of the culture wey our fore fathers keep are not favorable this time and need to be change.
To me,if i were this guy,i will never marry the dead corpse rather save the jail term and if she were my sister,i will not suport the motion or ask the guy to marry her.

that todays young poeple seems to find it difficult leaving a sex free livestyle does not change the biblical principle on the issue neither does it means it has become something accepted by christainity . Soo many poeple does things that God detest and they relly on His grace that he is merciful while the society as not as merciful as GOD .
What the elders did in the name of culture is what our law enforcement agencies does .Every society has its rules which must be respected by every member of the society and whoever goes contrary to the rules should expect the consequencies/punishment .
Bet you me ,if these punishments were not there everyone of us will do what seems good to him or her without giving a damn !! Can u imagine a society were everyone does what he is she feels is good ?
Personally, i may not be 100% support of marrying a dead corpse but that is what the costom of such poeple stipulates ..........so it applies (untill poeple change it like some have started doing) .
That is the more reason why poeple like you should get back to ur root, find what is acceptable in ur tradition and change those ones u feel needs to be changed .Trying to change a costom when u are already a victim will not bring any useful result ! "Otu onye anaghi akari oha" !!
No matter where u live , it does not change ur origin ............dont claim to be "white" when u know quite well u cant be . I dont stay in Nigeria but i have kids who i make sure they know the igbo culture( i owe them that) because they are will dfinitely go home either to stay or on holidays and can u immagine what it will be like when everyone in the society is doing right and they will be the only ones doing left ?
