Guys,i am a confirmed Ibo man but this tradition is Awkward and unholy to my faith as a christian. How can a man be forced to marry a her death Girl friend. When they were having sex, both parties was enjoying it.Is it because it has now landed to death along the process.

The parents of the girl would have said that the guy will bury the girl or will be responsible for her burial ceremony and not to force him to marry the death girl,it will only expose and create more awareness to the entire town to know the cause of the girls death.

How can the entire village gathered together eating, drinking, perhaps playing music as being done in traditional marriage,if a passerby asked what is happening and someone will him or her that they are doing traditional marriage of a death girl, this is total madness.

The family of the girl is useless, they are putting more peper to the injury and painting the name of their family red on this decision.Lets us assume that it was the guy that died, would they say that the girl should marry the guy? Or lets say that the girl was killed by a car, would they say that the driver will marry dead corpse of the girl?

Like as one the Chief said "Eze Christian Nwachukwu said the practice of marrying the dead in Igboland was in the past, but these days, it depends on the family of the deceased who can insist on such demand." So the Family of the girl is stupid for insisting on this demand.

How would collect the money for the bride of their Daughter, which mouth will they use to drink the palm wine and eat the kola nuts. What will it profit them, how can they invite their friends, and business partners that their dead daughter is doing traditional marriage. Will the marriage bring her back to Life?

After the marriage ceremony, where will this girl be buried? Buried in her fathers compound? or taken to the guys home? Or thrown inside forest like someone who never have exist?

Infact If i were this guy,i will NEVER MARRY a dead corpse, instead let me serve the jail term, after all the death wasn't intentional,it is an accident and all die be die.

I just dey verse now!!
