My Dear friends / fellow bloggers,

I will want to use this opportunity to share the recent fraudulent activities the American embassy in Nigeria are indulging in.
To apply for an American visa, one need to fill the online application form just like any other country does, then schedule an appointment, before going on to pay a visa fee which is valid for 365 days.  This has been the normal procedure until recently when the American embassy changed tactics with a sole aim to defraud Nigerians.

The latest procedure to apply for an American visa is you first need to pay a visa fee, then fill the visa form before going on to schedule an appointment with the visa fee receipt number which you have purchased for 23,100 naira. As if this is not enough, if you by any chance miss your appointment, your hard earn 23,100 is gone. This is because, the new appointment system is programmed such that, after your interview date, your visa receipt number automatically disappears from your profile even if you don't attend your interview.  This has happened to my brother, after so much phone calls to their call center and email to the [email protected], he decided to pay for a new visa fee. I have also encountered some friends whom told me of their situation which was even more pathetic. In some cases, some people have their interview rescheduled automatically to dates that they are not convenient with and for some reasons, if they are the type that checks their mails often, they will receive the notification and some may not be able to schedule an appointment until 365 days has elapsed, which means visa fee receipt is useless. The new American appointment scheduling system is so bad that they even open appointment calendar on public holidays! what happens at the end is that it is either your appointment is moved backward or forward as in the case, you may not be convenient with an earlier date or may risk missing your purpose of going to America if the date is moved forward

As if this was not enough, the American embassy has now perfected plans to cheat people of their hard earn visa fee by adding a clause to scheduling of appointment. This clause states that, if you cancel your interview for more than 3 times, your receipt will be invalid, it does not matter whether it has lasted 365 days or not. As I am writing this article right now, so many people are already victims. Scheduling an appointment in the first place is so difficult that you cannot refresh the appointment calendar more than 5 times a day, so you can understand why people would want to cancel and reschedule their appointments over and over again when they have an opportunity for a more convenient date.

An American visa fee costs 23,100 and over 500 Nigerians applies for visa daily, which means America already earns 11.5 million naira daily from Nigerians, as if it is not enough, they are taking advantage of our vulnerability and bad governance! If the American Government which Nigerians look up to in bad times to help situation is indulging in such a wicked practice, who can we now look up to in this current fight against corruption???

Dear friends, I have not written about how many Nigerians are denied visas daily of the 500 so they can apply again to their benefit. These and many more practices has been going on behind our back which our government has not done anything about. IF ONE NIGERIAN SHOULD DEFRAUD AN AMERICAN, THE WHOLE WORLD WILL KNOW ABOUT IT, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE AMERICAN EMBASSY IN ABUJA AND IT'S CONSULATE IN LAGOS DEFRAUDS 500 NIGERIANS DAILY??? DON'T YOU THINK THE WHOLE WORLD SHOULD KNOW TOO? PASS THIS MESSAGE ON TO AS MANY FRIENDS. HOPEFULLY, IT WILL HELP CHECK THE MALPRACTICES OF THESE FRI-ENEMIES WE HAVE CALLED AMERICA!!! NIGERIANS SAY NO TO AMERICAN EMBASSY'S ILLEGAL PRACTICES!.....
