FIRST EVER DJ ACADEMY IN NIGERIA

A DJ Academy??? Indeed I stand to be corrected but this indeed would be the first of its kind here in Port Harcourt or anywhere in Nigeria.

Wazobia/Cool FM’s Dj Smart Don has decided to start up a disc jockeying academy in Port Harcourt.
According to the ever friendly Dj, he says the Academy would be responsible for churning out the disc jockeys of the future and improving those already in the line of work.
“I discovered that lots of people out there who have got potential to become great Djs have no one to actually school them on how to bring their interest and inherent talent to the fore.
This academy will be in the interest of such people” says Smart Don.
He continues, “Over 95% of our Djs lack certification and I believe this has to change because to people like me this is a profession and not a hobby”.
The academy which resumes officially in February will see its students tutored by award winning Djs like Dj Neptune, Smart Don himself and a host of others.
Classes we are told would be a 100% practical to ensure students fully grasp all the rudiments.
There would be morning, afternoon and evening classes to suit the needs of applicants and we are also told that accommodation would be available for interested applicants.
Dj Smart Don says he is charting a new course in the history of Disc Jockeying in the country and would love to hear Dj’s mentioned in the same breath as other  qualified professionals.
