The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Bala Nasarawa, confirmed the attack, saying that investigations had since commenced into the incident.
“There was an attack on Ungwan Musa, leading to the death of two people,” he said.
According to an eyewitness who preferred anonymity, the gunmen stormed the village on Saturday night and attacked a house, where two persons, including a young woman, were reportedly killed.
“When we heard gunshots, we knew they have come again. They shot and killed two, injured many, who are now in the hospital. You can go and see how they are wallowing in pains at the Bode Hospital and St. Louise Catholic Hospital, Zonkwa,” the eyewitness said.
Youths in the area, however, took to the streets, demanding a search for the gunmen and their sponsors.
