The accident left three of them seriously injured while one, identified as Fashina Olatunji, a 400 Level Health Education student, was said to be in coma.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the accident occurred when one of the tyres of the vehicle got burst.
The injured students were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.
It was gathered that the students, who were protesting the scrapping of their institution before the accident, continued with the protest and marched down to the Governor's Office at Oke-Mosan, to express their displeasure over the decision of the state government.
The president of the Student Union, Comrade Oyekanmi Abdullahi, described the incident as unfortunate, saying the students were on their way to meet and plead with Governor Ibikunle Amosun, the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Olatokunbo Olopade and the state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Segun Odubela, to rescind the decision.
