The days of teachers reward is in Heaven is fast disappearing into thin air, as most teachers are already becoming Millionaires even when they are still alive. To make this dream a reality, the Ondo State government has approved a N300m car loan  for teachers in the state. Presenting cheques to the beneficiaries on Monday, the state’s Commissioner of Education, Barrister Remi Olatubora said the  loan is to motivate the teachers for better performance.

The loan, according to him has a 10 per cent repayment interest. Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs. Taiwo Kolawole, the commissioner said, “Government has again demonstrated its commitment to the implementation of workers welfare policies”.

In his address, Chairman of the Ondo State Teaching Service Commission, Barrister Fola Amure dismissed insinuations that the scheme will soon be discontinued by the state government, saying,

“There is no iota of truth in the insinuations that government will no longer give out car loan after this set because of insufficient funds. Please don’t listen to the tale bearers.

“This loan is a revolving one and it is a continuous exercise. For the umpteenth time, I want to plead with you the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by working harder”.

why should the Government put 10% interest rate if really he want to motivate the teachers? Government is trying to make money from teacher in the name of help . 10% of that car amount do u know how many billion it will give ? Pls stop deceiving people with such political incisiveness.
