Just curious...I always knew that Muslims avoid eating pork but recently I tried to find out why but got different stories. Now I am trying to find out the truth behind this practice....please...shine some light on this for me If you have no light...just stay in the dark and wait.

First we avoid eating pork because ALLAH HAS FORBIBIDDEN us from doing so. Like all religious injuctions, it is for our own good. If you have no access to a microscope pour a little lemon on piece of pork and watch the wahala people are pouring into their tommies.

Actually, the Moslems borrowed the rule against pork from the Hebrews.

One theory, which is actually rather well argued, is that the Hebrews abominate pork because they, as nomads, saw pigs as animals fit only for the cities, which they saw as dens of sin, and that grew into a taboo.
