| Description: Olamide Adedeji popularly known by his stage name Olamide aka Baddo, Baddestguyeverliveth, Yahoo Boy No Laptop, Young Erikina was born March 15, 1989. He is a Nigerian Hip hop recording artist. He grew up in the Heart of Lagos Mainland; Bariga to be precise and that is why he keep repeating bariga in his songs. Being a Final Year at Tai Solarin University where he was studying Mass Communication, Olamide Became a household name in Nigeria from his performance at the Hip Hop World Awards in Nigeria. Olamide has been known to always feature superstar in his songs,talented artists like Wizkid in “Omo to shan” where he put up his best and anticipated performance. His follow-up album, Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) was one of the best seller from 2012 to 2013. The album was supported by the singles "First of All", "Voice of the Street", "Stupid Love", and "Ilefo Illuminati". On November 7, 2013, he released his third studio album Baddest Guy Ever Liveth. The album's singles include "Durosoke" and "Yemi My Lover" among others. Initially he was Formally signed Into ID CABASA’s CODED TUNEZ Record label, Olamide now has his own record label called YBNL NATION. He is known to be good when it comes to code mixing of Fluent English and Yoruba effortlessly. He was feature by Phyno in a phenominal track Ghost Mode, the hit single makes the whole street went crazy it becomes the lyrics of the town even a 3 year old kid can recite it just like a poem. Do you still remember this verse, “Olamide is here just like the 1st day of the year” and if that didn’t do it for you then I’ll leave you with this line “Like Java I’ve got game I’m from the project and I’ve got fame tell me why the eff I gats go dey fill form for MTN project fame” The guy is good. It is safe to say, the streets love him and he loves them back. On July 17, 2013, Olamide became the first Nigerian to sign an endorsement deal with Cîroc. He has won several music awards, including multiple Nigeria Entertainment Awards, The Headies, and Nigeria Music Video Awards (NMVA) to name a few. |
