True but u are trying to prepare your students for real life situations in the chosen field of professions and asking view point questions does not enhance their learning experience.

The whole point is to separate the good  apples from the bad ones and asking questions does not prove any thing. You have to test the student not let them pass through.

I was watching CNN a few days ago and i noticed that nigeria ranks top 5 in terms of corruption in the world. Especially with the advent of the new internet age they are constantly trying to use 419 to rob people of their money and i believe the reason is because Nigerian put too much pressure on their people to become wealthy and drive the best cars the biggest houses, carry the finest girls and stuff and until this pressure is reduced the rate of corruption will continue to increase. The yahoo boy are always making headlines. i was watching Opara winfrey show a few day ago and she had a whole segment on nigerians duping American and how they hook up with them and all that maga stuff. Why do we always have to draw attention to ourselves with the wrong crowd. Why are Nigerians so corrupt?? Can any one answer please!!

I have heard my parents constantly talk about how much better the education system is in Nigeria that the states and how students down there learn more and are much smarter than students down here especially at the secondary school level and i am beginning to have my doubts about the authenticity of such statement. I do not believe that students down there are smarter i just believe they are forced to study unnecessary information that is not useful to their career goals. In the states here your academic courses are tailored based on what u want to pursue in life and you can either decide to go through the easy, medium or hard part through school and most students just decide to choose the easy or medium way and they still get to the same destination. I don't believe nigerian education is much better that the secondary education here just because the students are forced to cram unnecessary stuff inorder for them to pass waec and other exams and get into school. I need your opinions on this i might be wrong?

I don't think this is a positive sign for Nigerians. When most nigerians come to the states the complain about the perverted state that exist her and as a result most refer to it as Sodom and Gomorrah but while back home we have a great number of our youth pertaking in the same actions. I believe nigerians are too biased to face the fact and this should be an eye opener that Nigerian always copy the wrong thing first.

I just came back from Nigeria Last christmas and i have noticed this trend that all Nigerians are looking for a means to leave the country as soon as possible. Instead of trying to help solve the problem the believe it is always greener on the other side and as a result they are all to willing to run and leave. There is nothing like patriotism in Nigeria no one is willing to die for their country or to fight to defend it. I know Nigerian leaders are corrupt but this is not the underlying problem i believe everyone has given up on their country and have decided to abort and leave the country to crumble. Why do u think this trend is happenning?

See some students just don't test well. That is why in the US where i go to school a students performance is not based solely on the test result because some students fold under the pressure. the best way to be able to test the students intelligence in constant assignment that will further culminate into the overall performance in the class. if a student can consistently do and pass assignments given periodically with good grades, that are not given in a testing evironment, this is a good way to test students intelligence not having the students cram info in order to download it on a test which they will still forget in the long run.

I also think the level of affluence has a lot to do with segxwal harrassment and also the level of accountability. the lecturers know that they are goin to get into minimal problems and even if they are caught not much is being done to them this is one of the main reasons why the problems is increasing. The lecturers are also given too much power and because of the nigerian university system there is no programs to help the students report such activities if they can set up forums for the students to be able to discuss such issues and be able to finger point the lecturer it will be reduced. Some students likewise don't want to study they want to get free points so for those students they put themselves in such situations. But naturally there are still some perverted lecturers that are just sex addicts and will not stop. but as long as they are both adults and agree to the sex it is both of their fault. It is not harassment if the student agrees. And is rape if she is forced. So they should take their stand.
