21  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / See Pastorwho's Sperm is A Sacred Milk on: 31-07-2013 03:08 AM
Valdeci Sobrino Picanto is a Brazilian Evangelical Pastor. He has been arrested after deceiving the faithful using the name of the "Holy Spirit", by saying foolish lies.

He said his penis was blessed and that "the Lord had consecrated him with divine milk of the ''Holy Spirit" and, of course, he had to release it in order to "evangelize".

"He has convinced us that only God could come into our lives through our mouth and that's why he would do what he did". Often, after worship, pastor Valdeci would take us to where the funds were kept at the back of the Church and asked us to have Oral sex with him until the Holy Spirit would come through ********". This is the testimony of one of his victims.
The pastor is already in jail, but said he intends to continue watering his cellmates with his sacred milk.

22  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Police, hoodlums accused of killing undergraduate, friend on: 31-07-2013 03:04 AM
Policemen attached to the Badagry Police Division, Lagos State, and some hoodlums have been accused of killing a 25-year-old undergraduate of Delta State University, Ifechukwude Nwainokpor, and his friend, identified simply as Kazeem.
An eight-minute video clip of the gruesome killing, which was made available to PUNCH Metro, showed the two victims handcuffed together. They were covered in their own blood and beaten to death with sticks. Tyres were also put round   their necks. An irate mob could be seen in the video, shouting, “die, die, burn them, burn them.”
At some points in the video, a policeman was seen interviewing the boys. He asked who sent them (victims) to rob the area, an accusation they denied. One of the hoodlums, holding a sharp object attempted to cut off the private part of one of the victims.
Nwainokpor could be seen pleading with the hoodlums and policemen to spare his life, saying he could identify himself if given a chance. His plea, however, fell on deaf ears.
Our correspondent, who visited the family of Nwainokpor  on Tuesday, learnt that the lynching took place around 3pm on July 21, 2013 in Ajara area of Badagry, a community not far from Nwainokpor’s family home.
His father, Samuel, told PUNCH Metro that his son was arrested while passing through a street in the area  but a misunderstanding later ensued and the hoodlums pounced on  him  and Kazeem.
He added that  Nwainokpor, who was nicknamed Ify, was a final year student of Geology and Mining.
He said, “On that particular day, I was in Ghana when I received a telephone call  that I should come immediately. My wife was in Delta State taking care of her   mother.
“When I arrived two days later, my relatives and the caretaker of my house  told me that my son was killed in the Ajara area along with his friend. I was devastated.
“I got my son a  temporary job with a Customs licensed  agent since their lecturers were on strike.  He worked everyday except on Sundays when he visited his  friends. On that day, he went to see Kazeem and they were strolling around Ajara.”
Samuel said because there had been a robbery in Ajara four days earlier, some of the residents were on the lookout for strange faces.
He added that when the youth  saw two unknown young men, they  accosted them and an argument ensued.
He said the youth  called the head of the vigilante group   in the area, one Asiribo.
He said, “Asiribo came to the scene with a locally-made pistol and handcuffs. He handcuffed my son and his friend  before asking them questions.
“Later, it was decided that the boys be taken to the Baale, Agano Oniyon of Agamade Ajara. But as they were going, Asiribo, while trying to return his gun into its  pouch, mistakenly shot himself in the stomach and died.”
Samuel said Asiribo’s death infuriated the youth, who  blamed the boys for  his  death.
“The mob picked up sticks  and beat them to death. Policemen were there,”   he  said.
Holding back tears, the retired immigration officer   added  that the police treated the matter as a robbery case. Beating  his chest,  Samuel said there was no way his son would have been involved in  armed robbery.
He said, “I have been living in Badagry since 1982. I have  only two children and Ifechukwude  is the  first. Ironically, he was born in that same area where he was killed. “I have lived in this area without any trouble and  the residents  can tell you that my sons are good  boys.”
Nwainokpor’s boss, Aloysius Onyenibedi, described him as an honest and hardworking person.
“I trusted him to the extent that I used to keep a lot of money with him. He was good to my children and was honest,” he said.
The Nwainokpor family berated the Divisional Police Officer, Badagry Police Station,  Dankoli Mohammed, for the manner he treated the case.
Samuel said when he approached the DPO, he was told that his son was killed at midnight for armed robbery.
He said, “When the policemen came to take the corpses, guns were planted on them. Policemen at the station told the DPO that they were robbers. Their corpses were taken along with that Asiribo to Badagry General Hospital’s mortuary.
“The following morning, the DPO released Asiribo’s corpse for burial without investigation. My relatives went to the station and after showing the DPO the video, the matter was transferred to the Area K Command.
“At Present, Asiribo’s son has fled, while the DPO has been unable to identify the policemen who were present at the scene when my son  and his friend were killed.”
PUNCH Metro however learnt that through the video, some people had arrested one of the perpetrators. The suspect had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department,  Panti, Yaba.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, said, “The incident is quite pathetic. Even if they were armed robbers, no one has the right to take the life of another. Why then do we have the police and the judiciary? The Nigerian police as well as the law condemn mob action and jungle justice. The commissioner of police has set up a high- powered investigation body to investigate the matter.”

26  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / PHOTOS: Meet 8 Year Old Fish-Boy With Fish-like Scale As Skin on: 31-07-2013 02:50 AM

Eight-year-old boy, Pan Xianhang has been nicknamed 'fish boy' by neighbours because he's covered from head to toe in thick, itchy scales.
He was born in Wenling, China with a rare genetic skin disease known as Ichthyosis, after the ancient Greek word for fish.
Ichthyosis is a heterogeneous family of at least 28 generalized, mostly genetic skin disorders. All types of ichthyosis have dry, thickened, scaly or flaky skin. In many types there is cracked skin, which is said to resemble the scales on a fish.
Most sufferers develop dry scaly skin across part of their body, but Pan's case is severe, his scales have affected the shape of his eyes, nose, mouth and ears and they limit the movement of his arms and legs.
The condition also means he's in constant pain and struggles to sleep at night because of the itching.
Sufferers are treated with creams, oils and moisturisers, which are designed to hydrate the skin.
Liz Dale a spokesperson for the UK-based Ichthyosis Support Group said: "There is no known cure and treatments for ichthyosis are predominantly keeping the skin moisturised with plenty of emollients i.e. lotions and creams. "The skin needs to be moisturized to prevent it from further drying out, which could cause the skin to crack, making it more prone to infection, which may be fatal."
It is estimated that each year, more than 16,000 babies are born with some form of Ichthyosis, varying in severity of symptoms, according to Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types.
Even as Doctors are currently looking into other ways to treat him, Pan is not the first to make headlines for this stifling disease.

28  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Why 20 Students Expelled, 180 Rusticated from College of Education in Cross Rive on: 31-07-2013 02:41 AM

Why 20 Students Expelled, 180 Rusticated from College of Education in Cross RiverThe Provost of the College of Education Akamkpa in Cross River State, Professor Anthony Owan Enoh has confirmed that 200 students of the school have been penalized as a result of examination malpractices and other unacceptable behaviour.
Giving extent of how the school has been managed since the state government renewed interest to revamp the school and hisown appointment over four years ago, Prof. Enoh listed that these 20 students were expelled for various unpardonable acts and the other 180 were given various levels of penalty including rustication.
He said, “We have also adopted other stringent measures that checked and scared students from engaging in unethical as well as examination malpractices.  Within this period we were able to sanction 200 students.”
He was explaining the college’s activities that have made it become the cynosure of students and the general public at the NUJ press centre in Calabar where he said from the once mud houses structure, it is now completely restructured with modern infrastructure.
Although the provost did not spell out the various offences committed by the penalized students but he was bold to disclose that before the assumption of duty by his management the school was renowned as centre of cultism and gangsterism, beating other tertiary institutions in the state such as University of Calabar and Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH) to second place.
On ‘hand-outs’, the provost said that among measures taken to align with the motto of the school, which is ‘Quality Education’, they have outlawed the practice where teachers give their lectures as handouts to their students.  He said they no longer encourage that.
“We have directed all College staff, particularly the lecturers, to assembly their manuscripts for their different courses they teach into bound monographs or volumes for first and semesters instead of handouts and the school would help encourage students of such subjects to buy them.  This way, the works of the lecturers and their names would outlive them and they would make a neater and acceptable profit.
“Though this innovation met with initial resistance by the lecturers but now they all have come to appreciate how neat and better this has turned out because we compel students to buy the monographs.  It has also enhances the quality of our students.
“At the end of every semester, the proceeds of sales of any monographs are either shared by the College or given to the authors/lecturers that compiled his works”, the provost explained.
He said the policy of the school authority is to ensure quality education imparted to students in theory and practice, adding that “this is why the school has now become highly rated by the National Council on Colleges of Education (NCCE) compare with few years ago.”
As a result of this, the provost said their students that have several ‘carry overs’ are not allowed such to proceed to teaching practice in order to safeguard the name of the school, explaining that they usually have them retake certain courses and exams. “We would then send them to our in-house primary and secondary schools to practice.”
Prof. Enoh also disclosed that in order to assist the indigent students of the school who were unable to pay their fees, the school authority decided to engage many of them as student -staff at monthly salary of N5000 to help keep the green and clean environment or in the many ongoing building projects.

29  Forum / The Buzz Central / Betty and Soni Irabor Celebrate Their 30th Wedding Anniversary on: 30-07-2013 09:55 PM
30 years of marriage and they are still going so strong.
Betty Irabor is the publisher and Editor-in-chief of Genevieve magazine.
She and hubby Soni who is a TV personality celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary yesterday.

Here's Betty's advice for couples on how she and hubby get through the bad days:
We do have our roforofo moments but we work it out. A marriage where couples don’t communicate and bear grudges is likely to be an unhappy one.  Talk it over and don’t keep digging up the past. Forgive…forgive…forgive. What I know for sure is that Christ is the foundation of a good marriage.
Having said that, I would like to add that when the time comes for anyone to choose a life partner, choose a partner who is not embarrassed to say “I am sorry” when he is wrong and never makes you feel small so he can appear taller.  Marry for all the right reasons and never for what you can get out of it when you haven’t put anything in.
Marriage takes Two: They say the future of a marriage lies in the hands of the woman but I say it takes two. Marriage is one of the world’s biggest collabos between two strangers. It has no manual; you learn on the job.
