| What are they protesting? Why is petrol more important to Nigerians than the unwarranted killing of innocent citizens and destruction of property by BOKO HARAMIST and their sponsors? Why can't Nigerians come out en mass and demonstrate against this? Why is petrol more important than lives? removal of fuel subsidy will not kill or destroy peoples property. Accepted that the impact will be felt at the initial stage, but in the long run, most Nigerians will also learn to be prudent, inventive and prioritise.
NLC should call for protest against the killings in Nigeria, fat salaries for politicians, lack of electricity, good roads, clean water etc. After all, the masses of Nigeria are not directly benefiting from the fuel subsidy but the sponsors of BOKO HARAM, the rogue politicians and their business partners.
Nigerians, please let us be realistic, petroleum subsidy may make life a bit harsher but it is not killing anyone (except the foolish) as much as the BOKO HARAMIST are destroying the country, innocent lives and properties ALL FOR NO JUSTIFYABLE REASONS! Well, what do we do when the oil finally dries out?

Without doubt you have a point, but we are trying to explore options that would lead to eliminating a kind virus eaten the country up. | People never learn! How did the security at the first gate let him inside without checking his boot? Maybe money had changed hands! The man that allowed the bomber to get away is a full member of these murderous gang and must be tortured to tell all he knows about the group, their leaders and affiliates. The fact that he came in a new car suggests that this group have very rich sponsors. One would hope that henceforth all church premises would have military guards.
Good idea that the man should be tortured, but unfortunately that would never bring out the truth, Y, because torture is nothing compared to people who before coming out for this missions, already sentence themselves to death. What amount of torture would make him give you a leak?!! I think the most logical way to get into the camp of such people is release the man from security custody then keep close eye on every where he goes and who he talks to. Scrutinize every move he makes.... That way, he'll definitely make contact with his colleagues and the camp could be raided. Just a thought! | | | | |

The answer is simply, some of my fellow Easterners(Igbos) are too blinded by ambitions to make money that they simply disregard potential threat to their lives. The Hausa man going back today will definitely come back when everything calms down, why can't the Igbos ever think like that for once??? | My brothers in Nigeria, I am an african-american and i respect ALL africans. I am also a muslim. A lot of your brothers are here (Nigerian christians and muslims) . As a matter of fact i am friends with christian and muslim nigerians. We dont have that problem here. What i do know is that if a muslim is doing what Boko Haram is accused of doing then that person is not practicing Islam. He is practicising "Hislam". I just wish you brothers could find some resolution to your differences because i look to the country of africa with awe and reverence. I am not a politician but i truly believe that the few elite in Nigeria be they Christian or Muslim are behind the scenes calling shots. Just like after the Sept. 11,2001 attacks here in america. After the news media propogated so much fearmongering in the people most americans gave up their basic liberties in the name of security. Please for the sake of God come together as a nation so that those on the outside(non-nigerians) can keep their hands off the "pie". Believe me beneath the surface that's what this is all about. The so-called leades in Nigeria wanting to keep the less fortunate people poor while padding their pockets and making backroom deals with the enemy(non nigerians possibly european,saudi,chinese,etc. oil executives,diamond miners,gold etc.)

Please, where are you from? I really would love to know you because your post is the best I have read here. No wonder the Bible says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge"... we have BOKO-HARAM who kills without measure, and some stupid Christians come out and tell me about Principalities and powers... what a shame!!!
@Bachelorette. We need to seriously start campaigning and hope for the worst because Gboko Haram has nothing but war to unleash particularly on the Christians. I truly hate some bigot people calling on God who has already given us everything to be able to fight and defend ourselves. We have nothing lose.
