Traditions are different from tribe to tribe, country to country, it is a part of traditional marriage ceremony in Yoruba land, and their is nothing bad in that, you may not be able to do it because you are not a Yoruba, so also there are other cultural requirement in the Ibo and Hausa areas that a Yoruba person will not be able to do vice a vice.
The Japanese, the Chinese, the Burmese, the Indians, Pakistanis, the Jews have  various traditions, and they are proud of it even most of it are being copied by the western world, why cant we be proud of our own cultures? we always want to be involve in the white man's cultures, and copied them but they never want to be interested in our cultures, even if they are interested they tried too modernise it in their own ways, but they never try to change the Japanese cultures, the Chinese, the Indians, even the Kenyans and the rest, my people please be proud of your culture, if you are proud of your culture, you and your culture will be respected. We should be proud of what we are.

What does he need sign on fee for? We dont do signing on fee in Nigeria, he is no more a professional footballer, and Nigeria is not a club.

There is nothing bad in the Government having new planes, but I believe it will be better to have 2 new ones instead of 3, I believe he decided to buy these planes due to the breakdown of the Presidential jet in one of the African countries last time he traveled out, which is a disgrace on the country.
If the present Presidential plane is not good enough or  that the spare is not easily available or is not advisable to repair it, if it the repair cost is going to be too expensive then he should sell it either complete or in part, and buy 2 new and standard ones, there is no need for 3, that is excess.
People who are complaining about the purchase should remember that this plane is not going to be Jonathan personal possession.  He will only use it till 2011 or if reelected to 2016.  The plane will always belong to Nigeria.

There is nothing in marriage, it only grace the women ego, it does not mean the relationship will endure time.  one need to pay the necessary traditional payments because most of our parents still believe in the olden days way of doing things.
Men dont believe they need to be in a marriage if they dont love the women anymore, so marriage can not and will never help relationship., at least we see most married men and women having extra marital relationship everywhere and some have second or even third wives not minding that they married the first one either in the Church, Traditionally or the Mosque.

Why is the journalist Michael Alonge, spoiling the lady with negativities in his reports both previously and now? Any husband will be annoyed with the way Mr. Alonge  practised is Journalism without getting the facts straight.  He suppose to know that people are being made unhappy, their lives being destroyed  by his rumours and lies.
I believe Ini's husband would have prefer to go to court as a matured and educated person but in Nigeria, the court processes is so unreliable, a case can go on for 10 years due to the unreliability of the Police and the Judiciary. He was just frustrated by the so call Journalist (Michael Alonge)
What I can only blame the man for was the threat, he should just have warned him and threaten him with report towards his boss or legal prosecution, if he failed to desist then he can take him to court.

The Professor should be suspended without pay for at least 6months for misbehaviour, but we dont know the origin of their sex affairs, it was possible the girl was the one who initiated it because of her not been able to cope with her education, and the gullible man fall for it - we might not know this.
She should be allowed to retake the exams with a new assessment teacher.
The girl and the boys who filmed and asked for money from the Professor should be charged for kidnapping and extortion, it is criminality.  If there is any misunderstanding between the Professor and the girl, the girl should have been able to take actions on her own on how to get back at the teacher either with advice of her wellwishers or alone, but not with people using the opportunity to kidnap the man and extort money from him and forcing him to expose his genitals.  They should be severely punished.  This is Nigeria not a jungle.  We have the rule of law and should be followed
Kidnapping and extortion is two of the problems every Nigerian is facing in the country, we should not allow this kind of behaviour to go without punishment.
soon it will be copied by others, and soon we will be seeing workers kidnapping their boss. Wives kidnapping their husbands for a reason etc.

I just pray this kind thing never happens in Nigeria.
My second problem is that we never here any Imam or Sheikh from Saudi, Egypt, Iran, Nigeria etc condemning these bad behavious in the name of their religion
Christians leaders all over use to condemn anything that try to bring their religion to disrepute, why cant the Islamic religious leaders do this? Are they  in complicit with these atrocities
