
The Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Abuja has arraigned a former Deputy Comptroller of corrections Mr Kayode Raphael Odeyemi before an FCT high court on a two count charge bordering on Land fraud.
The first count accused Mr Kayode Raphael of defrauding one Mr Joseph Emelieze of N6,500,000 under the guise of helping him make a land purchase in Abuja.
The second count accused Mr Kayode of defrauding another Joemelyz Global of N2,200,000 in the guise of helping him purchase a piece of land in Abuja.
Mr Kayode had pleaded not guilty to both charges and was granted the bail in the sum of One Million Naira with two sureties in like sum, one of whom must be a civil servant residing within the jurisdiction of the Court.
The case was adjourned till the 19th of September 2022.
