1  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / From Mistress to Courtroom: The Price of Chasing a Married Man Who Won’t Claim You - Hakeem Ade on: 16-02-2025 08:16 PM
In a world where self-worth often takes a back seat to delusions of grandeur, the saga of Adaobi Alagwu and her relentless pursuit of Nigerian businessman Tunde Ayeni serves as a cautionary tale of desperation, denial, and disgrace.

Despite repeated public denials, legal rejections, and the consistent presence of Ayeni’s legally wedded wife, Adaobi has stubbornly clung to a narrative that has now dragged her from the shadows of social media drama into the unforgiving glare of the courtroom.

The red flags were glaring from the start. Ayeni, a respected figure in Nigerian business circles, has, on multiple occasions, distanced himself from Adaobi and any alleged relationship. In fact, he has gone so far as to swear an affidavit disavowing any ties with her. His family, too, has categorically rejected her, with the Ayeni royal family issuing formal letters disowning her claims and emphasizing that she holds no recognized position within their lineage.

But instead of accepting reality, Adaobi escalated her tactics. In a recent stunt that reeked of digital manipulation, she released a fake DNA test result purportedly claiming Ayeni's paternity of her child, which has since been debunked as fake. Investigations revealed she hacked her way into the emails of the DNA center with the aim of altering official records, leaving Adaobi with yet another public embarrassment.

Her losses in this saga are numerous and public. Ayeni's wife has openly shared her experiences, further solidifying the man's unwavering stance. Embassies have been informed of the fraud, and official letters have circulated, ensuring that Adaobi’s claims find no foothold beyond gossip blogs and sympathetic social media circles.

Now, the charade has landed in court. Summoned to appear on February 11, 2025, Adaobi was conspicuously absent. The court, unimpressed by her no-show, adjourned proceedings to February 17. One can only wonder what new theatrics she might attempt next in her relentless quest to force a narrative that has long been dead on arrival.

The lesson here is stark: chasing a man who won’t claim you is more than just emotionally draining—it can lead to public humiliation, legal battles, and irreparable damage to one’s reputation. For women watching from the sidelines, let Adaobi's story serve as a harsh reminder that self-respect should never be sacrificed on the altar of delusion.

Reality doesn't bend to wishful thinking. When a man says no, believe him the first time. Anything beyond that is a self-inflicted tragedy.

One Year Anniversary: How Herbert Wigwe's sibling disrespects memories of late philanthropist

One year after the painful death of Dr Herbert Wigwe, the Former Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Access Holding Plc, the Late banker’s family has been enmeshed in an acrimonious battle over his will and assets.

Newsmen report that some members of the late banker’s family have masked their self-seeking agenda by working through proxies.

Emeka Wigwe, one of the banker's brothers, seems unbothered by the propriety or otherwise of his action.

According to reports, Emeka could not disguise his greed and hatred for the late banker’s children.

He has been acting incredulously since the demise of his later brother, who had written out his will and listed the beneficiaries of his assets.

Reports say Emeka had been detained by his father, Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, for his noxious behaviour. He also  attacked men of the Department State Services (DSS), when the late banker’s children, cousin, in-laws and friends were exiting his grave side after a quiet moment and prayer earlier on Saturday ahead of the remembrance of his death on Sunday Feb. 9.
Fortunately, the visitors, which included children and teenagers, had finished their prayers and were exiting the burial ground when Emeka Wigwe barricaded the exit point, with the intention of preventing their vehicles from leaving.

It took the DSS personnel, who went with the visitors for security purposes, to persuade him to allow the vehicles to depart, but Emeka Wigwe decided to assault them as recorded in the viral video.

The professionalism of the men of the DSS came into play and restrained them throughout the period of Emeka Wigwe’s molestation of the security personnel.

According to a report, he had put up a similar behaviour about three months ago at the matriculation  ceremony of the Wigwe University, where he did not only assault his nice – late Herbert Wigwe’s daughter, but also disrespected the leadership of the Port Harcourt City One Love Club.

The Club, which he belonged to until his expulsion because of his unruly behaviour, thuggery and disruptive conduct.

The matter was duly reported to the law enforcement agencies, but the individuals concerned decided not to press charges because of entreaties by several well-meaning individuals.

Accordingly, late Dr. Herbert Wigwe’s memorial service and related activities will be held on Sunday, February 9, and water-tight arrangements have been made to ensure security of lives and property.

3  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Businessman and His Siren: Tunde Ayeni Refutes News of His Fatal Return to Gail Fajembola on: 7-01-2025 11:08 AM
The allure of forbidden passion often carries a price, and for Dr. Tunde Ayeni, the once-revered businessman whose rise and fall mirrors the trajectory of a Greek tragedy, the cost has been steep.

Amid the ruins of financial embarrassment, public disgrace, and familial strain, Ayeni has frantically disassociated himself from speculations of his purported return into the arms of the arms of Gail Fajembola, a woman whose name is synonymous with scandal.

In a bid to distance himself from Gail and their controversial past together, Ayeni went as far as instructing his property firm to notify tenants of a choice Ikoyi property that Gail should no longer be allowed to use the address for correspondence. “Dr. Ayeni has nothing to do with Gail’s relocation to Nigeria,” a source close to him declared. “He is focused on growing his businesses and spending quality time with his family and true friends.” Yet, despite these denials and calculated efforts to sanitize his image, insiders whisper of a rekindled liaison between the embattled businessman and his former mistress.

This revelation comes as a shock to many who recall Ayeni’s vehement disassociation from Gail years ago. Back then, he publicly vowed to sever all ties with her, swearing on his children’s lives that he would never return to the woman whose influence nearly dismantled his business empire and marriage. The reasons for this oath were both public and damning: Gail, with her extravagant lifestyle and insatiable demands, had drawn Ayeni into a vortex of corruption and financial impropriety that nearly consumed him.

The Return of the Femme Fatale

Gail Fajembola’s return to the Nigerian social scene, after a five-year sojourn in the United Kingdom, has been met with both intrigue and suspicion. Described by some as a “femme fatale” with a penchant for seducing powerful men, her arrival in Abuja has reignited whispers of her alleged connection to Ayeni. Sources suggest that Gail’s relocation may not be as innocent as claimed, with many speculating that her return signals a calculated move to reclaim her position in Ayeni’s life.

The woman once vilified for the chaos she sowed in Ayeni’s world seems undeterred by past scandals. Gail’s critics describe her as a chameleon—a master manipulator who has left a trail of broken relationships and tarnished reputations in her wake. Despite this, Ayeni appears to remain ensnared by her charms, prompting questions about what compels him to rekindle a relationship that has cost him so dearly.

A Scandalous. History

Gail’s romantic history reads like a cautionary tale of ambition and audacity. Her past liaisons include some of Nigeria’s most prominent men, from a former Senate President to influential oil industry magnates. Yet it is her relationship with Ayeni that has proven the most enduring—and destructive.

During their initial affair, Gail’s extravagant demands reportedly drained Ayeni’s finances and drew him into a web of questionable dealings. Her influence was so pervasive that Ayeni found himself under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), with allegations of embezzlement and financial misconduct dominating headlines. The fallout left Ayeni’s reputation in tatters, his businesses struggling to recover, and his family in disarray.

In the years that followed their breakup, Ayeni’s public declarations of remorse and determination to rebuild his life were seen as an attempt at redemption. He sought to distance himself from Gail, focusing on salvaging what remained of his legacy. However, recent developments suggest that Ayeni’s resolve has faltered, raising questions about his judgment and the nature of his relationship with the woman who nearly destroyed him.

Gail’s Calculated Return

Observers note that Gail’s return to Nigeria coincides with a period of significant upheaval in Ayeni’s life. Once a high-flying billionaire, Ayeni’s financial empire has reportedly been reduced to a shadow of its former self. With mounting debts and diminishing influence, Ayeni’s renewed association with Gail appears both illogical and self-destructive.

For Gail, however, the motivations seem clear. Known for her ability to manipulate powerful men, she has often been described as a “hunter”—a woman who thrives on the wealth and influence of her targets. Critics argue that her return is a calculated move to regain access to Ayeni’s resources, despite his precarious financial state.

The Anatomy of Obsession

What drives Ayeni’s apparent inability to break free from Gail’s grasp? Psychologists might label it as a classic case of compulsive attachment, a destructive bond fueled by a mix of passion, vulnerability, and dependency. Others see it as a testament to Gail’s unparalleled skill in exploiting the weaknesses of her partners, drawing them into a cycle of desire and destruction.

For Ayeni, the consequences of this renewed liaison could be dire. Already besieged by financial woes and public skepticism, his decision to re-engage with Gail risks alienating his family and further tarnishing what remains of his reputation. His critics have been unsparing in their condemnation, describing him as a “shameless man” who has returned to his vomit, defying both logic and morality.

Gail, too, has faced harsh judgment, with detractors labeling her as a woman devoid of dignity. Her willingness to endure public humiliation for another chance at affluence has only reinforced her reputation as a manipulative figure, willing to go to any lengths to achieve her goals.

The story of Tunde Ayeni and Gail Fajembola serves as an admonition about the perils of unchecked desire and the corrosive effects of scandal. Their relationship, a volatile mix of passion, ambition, and self-destruction, offers a stark reminder of the dangers of succumbing to temptation.

For Ayeni, the stakes could not be higher. His continued association with Gail risks sealing his fate as a man undone by his own desires. For Gail, the narrative is one of relentless ambition and calculated opportunism, a woman whose pursuit of power and influence knows no bounds.

As their story continues to unfold, one thing is certain: the saga of Tunde Ayeni and Gail Fajembola is far from over. Whether it ends in redemption or ruin, it will undoubtedly remain a stark reminder of the high cost of forbidden love.

Findings reveal that to ensure a clean break from this past relationship, Tunde Ayeni’s property firm recently wrote to the occupants of one of his choice properties in Victoria Island to inform them that Gail Fajembola should no longer be allowed to use the address as her mailing address and should no longer receive her mails through the office address. The correspondence was firm in its assertion that the business mogul and his company no longer have anything to do with Gail. ( letter attached).

To further lend credence to the position that the relationship has since been consigned to the backyard of history, another source disclosed that Dr Ayeni, nowadays, often makes it clear to confidants and close business associates that he was done with the past social life and that the new chapter of his life is focused on expanding and deepening his business interests.

When contacted on the Gail relocation issue and the allegation that he facilitated it, the businessman said: “When will you guys leave me alone and stop disturbing me over mundane issues. I have made it clear, and it is in the media space: I’m done with all these issues of this relationship, that relationship. I have moved on, and I’m not looking back. What you are asking is in the realms of the past, and I’m now focused on the present and the future. Spare me, please. “t and  the future. Spare me, please."
4  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Herbert Wigwe Estate: Drama as Family distrust Uche to handle Wigwe Asset on: 2-11-2024 09:06 PM
In a shocking turn of events, the already tumultuous saga surrounding the late Herbert Wigwe's estate has taken another dramatic twist.

Inside sources close to the family reveal that tensions have reached a boiling point, with relatives publicly distancing themselves from Uchechukwu Wigwe, Herbert’s younger brother. They express deep distrust in his ability to manage the family assets and estates, objecting to his portrayal as the next of kin or representative of the late Herbert Wigwe.

The Wigwe family, known for their high-profile status and considerable wealth, has been embroiled in a fierce battle since Herbert's untimely passing. Reports indicate that a court injunction has warned Christian Chukwuka Wigwe, who claims to be Herbert’s cousin, to cease actions that prevent the rightful execution of Herbert Wigwe’s will. This injunction was filed at the instruction of Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, Herbert’s father, and the affidavit has been made public.

Christian Chukwuka has been asked to defend his interests in the property, and the court may proceed with issuing a grant of probate, allowing the appointed executor, Uchechukwu Wigwe, to take full control of the estate while acting as the estate’s personal representative. Following his brother's death, Uche has enlisted the legal expertise of Mr. Munirudeen Liadi to expedite the process.

This latest document marks a crucial point in the dispute, indicating that Christian’s challenge may be nearing a breaking point as the entire family now rallies against Uche, arguing that he is not reliable enough to manage such substantial assets. “Uche has always been the black sheep, and after Herbert’s death, many felt he should have stepped up. Instead, his questionable decisions have left everyone worried,” insiders shared.

The estate, which includes multiple properties and business ventures, is now at the center of heated family debates, with some relatives advocating for a more experienced professional to take charge. “They don’t want Uche to take full control of the assets,” another source disclosed. “They’re discussing hiring a trustee to ensure everything is managed properly.”

Sources also claim that Uche is orchestrating the media buzz to gain public sympathy. His actions have raised eyebrows, as many believe he is positioning himself as both an actor and a victim in this unfolding drama.

The family also accused the late bank chief’s business partner, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede of undue interference in the family issues as regards the children left behind by the late banker and some decisions in the area of business without consulting his family.
Meanwhile, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Chairman of Access Holdings and a close friend of Herbert, has chosen to remain uninvolved in the family affairs. This decision highlights the complexities of the situation, as Uche continues to navigate the media landscape, seemingly seeking to sway public opinion in his favour.

Before Herbert’s death, he positioned Uche with several high-profile roles, even at the top managerial level of Access Bank’s private banking division. Uche Wigwe currently sits as the Non-Executive Director of Coronation, a leading African financial services provider. He is also the principal partner at Wigwe & Prtners. With an LL.M. in Petroleum Law and Policy from the University of Dundee, Scotland, an LL.B. from the University of Ibadan, and a B.Sc. in Banking and Finance from the University of Port Harcourt, Uche wields strong expertise in advising on various practice areas, including corporate insolvency and debt recovery.
5  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Idris Alubankudi Saliu: The Untouchable Power Player in Tinubu's Administration on: 1-11-2024 10:59 PM
Just as we’ve seen in past governments, messing with Idris Alubankudi Saliu, the Special Adviser on Technology and Digital Economy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is perilous. Despite his relatively young age, he wields significant power within the Tinubu administration.

Little wonder many in the corridors of power in Abuja catch cold if Idris Alubankudi Saliu sneezes. He parades himself as the anointed “Godson” of the President, who has the ever-listening ear of his principal, to the extent that he commands the president’s attention.

Unlike typical advisors who collaborate with the Federal Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Saliu is said to report directly to the president.

Reports suggest that Saliu is at the forefront of a coordinated strategy that some describe as state capture, leveraging his background in the private sector. He previously served as Chief Technical Officer at Interswitch and co-founded two fintech companies, Ceviant Finance and Arca. Various sources allege that Saliu, along with other advisors and ministers, is engaged in actions that favor personal and financial interests over national priorities, positioning their associates within key industries rather than allowing for fair competition.

Saliu appears to be utilizing his extensive expertise in technology, telecommunications, and finance to infiltrate major private companies through various means. One insider remarked, “Despite initial skepticism about his appointment as Special Adviser, it's evident that his role is to leverage his knowledge to align financial opportunities for himself and his associates.”

In just 18 months, the Tinubu administration is perceived as aggressively consolidating control, with Saliu playing a crucial role in implementing strategies that impose unreasonable demands on major companies. Many firms find themselves facing a stark choice: comply or suffer significant losses. They are reportedly being targeted through summons, investigations, and denial of approvals. Once companies fall out of favor with Saliu, it appears that only divine intervention or the president’s influence might prompt him to relent.

Allegations have surfaced that Saliu is exploiting frivolous petitions and misinformation to misdirect regulatory agencies, wasting resources on fruitless investigations that yield no results. It remains uncertain whether President Tinubu is aware of these activities or if Saliu is acting independently or in coordination with other high-ranking officials.

There are indications that numerous formal complaints have been lodged against him, and if Nigeria were more transparent with such petitions, the public would see many responses he has had to provide. Concerns are growing within government circles about the implications of these actions, while those in the private sector are increasingly wary of the potential damage to the president’s reputation. However, fear of repercussions has silenced many who might otherwise speak out.

It goes without saying that, wielding such a big stick, Saliu has been using his advantageous position to enrich himself beyond avarice, greed, and self-aggrandizement, fostering an environment of bitterness and selfishness in many cases.
