In your place I would consider he has made a choice, and that having done what he did, he will always try to find better outside.... You deserve to be the best for one man... and not the second best...
If I were you, I would get my courage together and go. This guy doesn't deserve you.

When it gets to puntching, I don't see where the "happily married" comes into!
As far as I am concerned, violence can not ever resolve any problem! And both partners should always make the best of efforts to suppress violent gestures of bad temper!
So where is happiness if we have to hit each other to make ourselves understood...
And where is the love we got married with...
Moreover, what about the model the kids have when they leave the nest....

As far as I'm concerned those who feel like that, are arrogant and self-sufficient. Nobody should in his right senses feel unique and special just because he got to a so-called better place!

They will always be nigerians, from the same village, with the same mum and dad. And they should never forget the hardship they've left behind.

To do so would be contrary to the african tradition of ubuntu, that is to say that we all live through the other. "I am who I am because of those around me", that is the essence of ubuntu philosophy, and it is what has made Africa survive through its ages of darkness.
