Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: What Does The Bible Really Say? Did I Make A Mistake By Leaving My Husband? |
on: 13-01-2015 10:44 AM
| Out the 30 places where divorce is mentioned in the bible; 14 times in the Old Testament and 16 times in the New Testament, I did not see where the bible gave the woman any right to quit. I like to quote the only person who understands this; 31. “Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32. But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except segxwal immorality[a] causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery (Matthew 5:31-32). The reason is because Marriage Is Sacred and Binding and when a man leaves his parents and be joined to his wife (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5, Mark 10:7, and Ephesians 5:31). | | |

| Say what you want but know that scoring a goal like he did on that faithful day was more intoxicating than a drum of rum. I’ll bet you that he did not know what he was doing because it was not premeditated. How soon can we forget? The man was tested for drug by FIFA. People should stop being jealous because someone had to score the first Nigerian world cup ever. Two wrongs can not be added to make right. This is the wickedness in man because after many years, we’re still talking about that historic goal. | | |

Forum / Religion / Sermon: Silenced Leaders (The World Woes? |
on: 30-12-2010 12:32 PM
| SILENCED LEADERS (THE WORLD’S WOES) These days, we are being tossed around by politicians who not only do not keep to their promises but do not have the fear of God. I have this belief that the so called democracy is a way of man to push God further aside. I do believe that it is good for one to speak his or her mind when there is sincerity. But when bunch of lies and deceits are involved, it becomes unthinkable. Where are our prophets that do hear from God? What have we done to the voice of God in our leadership? Democracy and God can not operate together. I guess we’re following the foot steps of our fallen fore father Adam but as perfect as Adam was, he never had what we now have. Back then, God came to him to have fellowship but now, He dwells in us. In the book of 1 Samuel 8:7, you’ll see that the children of Israel turned away from God’s directive and Samuel was not happy about it. Rather than get directives from a prophet, the children of Israel choose to be led by the carnal man. For any nation to prosper and have good success, their leaders must hear from God and direct the people as God has spoken. I know that since most of these things must happen in order to usher in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ but Christian nations can do better to make our lives a bit better. Just because of time and space, let us see how in two occasions God proved to be best in any situation when it comes to defending a nation that He loves by reading; 2 Kings 19:34. The king of Assyria was boasting of his carnal strength undermining God’s absolute power. You may read the entire chapter to see God in action when His people are being threatened. When the people of Israel were thrown into Baal worship, the prophet of God stood up and thought the people about ethical monotheism (worship of one true God). In the book of 1 Kings 18, we read about Prophet Elijah who caused the rain not to fall in Israel for three and half years. In verse 17 when King Ahab saw him, he asked Elijah if he was the one troubling Israel. This led Elijah to challenge all the prophets of Baal (verse 25). When they failed, you can read what Elijah did in verses 30-38. Won’t it be nice if our Prophets can hear from God and direct us and not democracy? If our Prophets are allowed to lead us and not politicians, we’ll be inviting God to take control again. Just think about it. As we are getting ready replace our old calendar come January first 2011, let us try to renew our relationship with our Heavenly Father who makes each day of our lives new. He alone can change our situations for good. I wish you a New Year of hope and prosperity. | | |

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: How will Farouk Mutallab's bomb attempt affect Nigeria's Image and Economy? |
on: 3-01-2010 06:39 AM
| Let us be mindful of what we say about this boy’s act. Like it is said in Macbeth, “It is too cruel anywhere.” Nigerian or no Nigerian, terrorism should be condemned. This act should and must not separate Nigeria from the rest of the world. Terrorism now is global. Having said that, this is a wake up call to all of us because Jesus spoke about things like this happening before the end of ages in Matthew 24:6-7, 10-11 the person being used can be from any country. Luke 21:11 (Amplified Bible) says There will be mighty and violent earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences (plagues: malignant and contagious or infectious epidemic diseases which are deadly and devastating); and there will be sights of terror and great signs from heaven. Let us forget where this young man is from and focus on where this act is pointing. Isaiah 24:17 (Amplified Bible) Terror and pit [of destruction] and snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth! Jeremiah 8:15 (Amplified Bible) We looked for peace and completeness, but no good came, and for a time of healing, but behold, dismay, trouble, and terror! Let every nation on earth come closer to God because the appearance of the King of kings is at the door. Finally for the so called rich, "Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).”
