I've been in the States for more than a decade and I have never heard anyone refer to USA as "God's own country".

I don't know why we celebrate our citizens that serve in foreign armed forces. Imagine an American being celebrated by American's for serving in Nigerian military. Its like saying I wouldn't want to die for my family but I'll die for a Chinese family in China. Good for her but I hope she remains the only Nigerian in the Israeli army. It's time we start showing the pride that other nations show for their country
