i think that what you perceive as ARROGANCE has to do with our african culture and believes. You wouldnt expect a typical african woman(especially nigerian) to portray herself as being "loose". the fabric of a typical african family is so closely knit that every woman has it as a duty to protect her family name.
finally i think african women especially nigerians can be very very romantic when they are out of this cultural SHELL
